Great laptop, quick start up even with an HDD
12 January 2015
Summary: Great laptop, quick start up even with an HDD, Good performance in games with AMD graphics card with the 8GB of ram, Good resultion, 1TB of memory is excellent. I highly recommand it if interested in pc games plus everyday work without paying too much!
Summary: Bought this as a replacement for a Sony Vaio that I've been using for about 3 years. I did my research, and I wanted a laptop that had a quad core i7 processor, a 1080p screen, a dedicated graphics card, had no cd drive, and looked stylish. This laptop fit that bill. Unfortunately, the processor wasn't the 4th gen like I wanted but the processing speed gain was minimal, according to most benchmarks, and the true gain was in battery life.
Summary: First of all, it took 10 days for the product to arrive via FedEx. Then after I finally received it, the product never worked properly. Took almost an hour to even get it to connect to my Wi-Fi. Could not use any of the apps installed because they all said they needed updates in order to run, but when you clicked "update" they said "no updates available.
Summary: I have owned this since January of 2014. I will say, in the current state, the laptop is screaming but that took upgrades. The HD it comes with is very slow, that was recently upgraded to a Samsung SSD. The Intel Wi-Fi card that it comes would not consistently connect to our home network. No amount of troubleshooting resolved the issue. When I upgraded to SSD, I also replaced the card with the Bigfoot Killer N card.
The illuminated keyboard is great since I often use the laptop in the evening

Summary: I've been using the Samsung Ativ for over two months no and I've had not issues (so far). Windows 8 is hard for me to get used to and I find that I barely use the touchscreen feature. However my nephew loves that feature. The illuminated keyboard is great since I often use the laptop in the evening. Movies and videos look great but the speakers are not ideally placed. It's what you'd expect for a laptop. Overall viewing experience however is great.
Amazing hardware and feel. Software took a little work.

Summary: Build: Lets start on the physical build of the computer. I love it. The design is simple and classy looking yet is still interesting. The laptop feels EXTREMELY solid. There is no flex in the keyboard or where you rest your hands. The hinge is very sturdy and allows you almost 180 degrees of motion. This thing is also very thin, but it still does have some weight. Nothing unmanageable though. The material is very nice with the aluminium deck/top and plastic on the bottom.
Beautifully powerful laptop! ***get updates from Samsung!!!***

Summary: The computer is powerful and sexy. I like how sturdy it feels. So far, I'm impressed with the screen. It's full 1080 HD and it's noticeable! The "touch" is extremely accurate. I'm a computer science student, the keyboard feels nice, the screen resolution gives me plenty of real estate to code on and the backlit helps. The first thing you should do is go the Windows 8 "home screen", start typing "SW Updates" and open the Samsung update utility.
Summary: I did months of research because the only reason I needed a PC is for Photoshop. The display is sharp and the keyboard is great, I was even surprised by the sound quality. The only issue I had upgrading to windows 8.1 is that you have to do all the windows 8.0 upgrades before the 8.1 upgrade shows available at the Microsoft Store.
Summary: Being as I started from an older Dell, 32bit XP OS desktop, my ATIV much better. It did die once - I couldn't reboot. I just waited until the fan stopped, and let it chill-out a bite. I do shutdown now whenever the PC is not in use. I did install 8.1, and that was painless. However, can't get my Sidesync working, even after sending 2hours on the phone with Samsung tech support.
