Summary: This laptop is lacking. It looks great and is a very promising platform for Samsung to enter the ultra-thin ultrabook market with, but it falls short in so many ways that actual usage is so frustrating you'll want to pull your hair out! If you don't already know, search "Samsung Series 9 touchpad issue". It's an issue where the touchpad stops working on it's own. It's a frequent occurrence and I usually notice it after bringing the system back from sleep mode.
Summary: Purchased this just over a year ago, and have had it in and out of repair three times. The third repair was for the dreaded AC port failure mentioned in many other reviews, and it only slipped in under the warranty wire because Samsung quietly agrees to service broken notebooks for a short period after the warranty expires. Otherwise, it would have been a very expensive paperweight.
Summary: laptop cover does not stay shut when you carry the laptop on your side with the hinge side down. the lid will open up abt 1/4 to 1/2 an inch.
Pros: light and sleek. laptop is very slim and has a small footprint. screen is sharp and clear. touchpad isnt bad.
Cons: laptop doesnt sit flat on the four "feet". tried placing the laptop on a dozen different surfaces and it wobbles on every one. samsung customer svc told me to bring it to a local shop like a best buy to have them replace the rubber feet...at my expense! samsung rep kept apologizing without an acceptable resolution.
Summary: This is first and hinkiest experience I have had with Amazon and as it turns out it isn't Amazon rather Amazing Online. I submitted an RMA for a computer received defective which I BELIEVE SHOULD BE GOING BACK PREPAID NOT not on my dime. When I took the package to UPS they found it curious that the Address "Gang Wan" in Texas came up as a residence and not a business. I think something is not up to the Amazon Standards I am accustomed too. Received from FedEx.
Very disappointed - beautiful ultrabook but delivered with faulty battery

Summary: This ultrabook is beautifully styled and super light. It operates well but mine was delivered with a faulty battery so it only works when plugged in to a power supply. In order to fix this, I had to ship it back to a Samsung center. I did that a week ago and am waiting to hear when I will get my replacement. Very disappointing.
Summary: I cannot use a laptop computer where the cursor arbitrarily jumps to somewhere else on the page no matter how light, convenient, slim, or bright the screen is. In just typing my first sentence, the cursor jumped 3 times causing me to stop and erase the odd words created. The laptop didn't do this at first, only after about 3 months. I will unfortunately have to return this laptop..
Summary: This computer is very fast but it's not very reliable. It is thin but I've had to send it in for repairs 4 times in a year because it is so incredibly fragile. If you have the money to purchase this, you should spend it on something else.
It has already been returned once...mite go back again

Summary: Good things first: The hardware is extremely sexy and light. Bad things: The touchpad sucks...the scrolling function is a joke. My 3 year old laptop scrolls better. The touch pad makes noise when u click on it. IE is extremely slow for an I5 processor. When u type the mouse keeps on jumping. Windows 8 is not as great as windows 7 either.
Summary: The touchpad freezes quite frequently, even after a complete reboot or shut down, totally un-useable. External mouse works fine though. After install the latest driver the situation is getting better, but still freezes quite frequently for a few seconds and response again, very inconvenient to use.
