beautiful machine. One of the most frustrating computing experiences ...

S Norris "Scott", Amazon
10 October 2014
  • Summary: The touchpad ruins this slick, beautiful machine. One of the most frustrating computing experiences I've had in 25+ years. I returned it for a refund, which the seller Fatech graciously granted. No way I could live with this finnicky touchpad. Wound up with a heavier Dell (but only 8 oz more) and it's nirvana. I've never had to return a computer until now. Maybe Samsung should give up trying to penetrate the laptop market.

  • Summary: the hinges always break. It's a manufacturers defect and they will not refund you if it happens after the warranty so getting extended warranty or just buy a different laptop I highly recommend you do not get this computer.

Worst laptop I ever had

Anderse "Bjorn", Amazon
19 July 2014
  • Summary: Worst laptop I ever had. After having shipped it back three times to Samsung's service center it still did not work reliably. After exact 1 year of arguing with Samsung I got my money back as they could not send me a replacement that used the WinPro that it originaööy was ordered with. They had changed all these laptops to be sold woth Win7 Home only!

In less than a year the screen failed twice; repairs are shoddy.

Marcin Wolcendorf, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: I have bought this laptop in Germany. And it has its set of problems. First - just after 6 months or so, the screen failed. They (technically it is not Samsung, but who chose the repair company?) repaired it - in just over a month of 'send us this, and send us that, and the birth cert of your granny in three copies, too' - changed mainboard(???), screen, updated BIOS.

nice looking computer but serious performance issues

cb, Amazon
2 February 2014
  • Summary: I bought this computer (but not through amazon) and can agree with many reviewers about the wifi problems and touchpad tracking. The wifi is terrible. It cannot sustain a connection for more than a few minutes and sometimes requires a reboot to get reconnected. Additionally, the trackpad is very sensitive and inconsistent. Very difficult to scroll and navigate.

Dont buy

Parviz Tayebati, Amazon
29 December 2013
  • Summary: I bought a NP900X3A eighteen months ago. soon the battery wouldn't hold charge. Now the Samung doesn't support the product anymore. Moral of the story: Buy if you plan to buy a new one every 12 months or carry your charger everywhere

Highly defective product with no warranty coverage

wendy from sedona, Amazon
20 November 2013
  • Summary: This computer never worked right and Samsung will not fix it because they say the problem it has is not covered under warranty. However, it was defective from the day I received it. So I am out $825 and all I have is a non-working computer. I will never buy anything by Samsung again, ever. Plus, the UPS guy in Tucson said he has shipped more of this computer back to Samsung to be fixed than any other model.
