It doesn't have fetching looks, but it's reliable.

Summary: I've had this computer for awhile now and it has proven itself reliable. It came with Windows 8.0 but that isn't the computer's fault so I won't take any stars off for that. I knew that when I purchased it. The best thing about the system is the boot-time. Unlike the old days you would turn on the computer and go get yourself a refreshment. With this computer and the 8.0 operating system it's almost instantly ready to go.
Summary: I bought this computer from Staples and the hard drive went out 3 times in the first year. It was under warranty and I sent it in for repair but each time I got it back it seemed to still be having problems. I've talked to Samsung support about still having problems after the last time that I got it back but it was out of warranty by then and they want to charge me to take a look at it.
Summary: I only paid $315 so I cannot complain at all. The i7 processor alone made that a steal. I bought the laptop for school. I don't game on my laptop. It's fast. It's light for when I have to take it to class. The downfall is that it does not have a microphone jack but I bought a USB sound card adapter for $5 so I'm back in business. It works so well for me, I bought one for my mother too.
Summary: This computer is replacing a 4-year old Intel i5 laptop with 4GB of RAM. This new computer is a lot faster than my old laptop. Also, the laptop is fairly light. I purchased this computer because of the name (Samsung), and while its not a gaming powerhouse, that's not what I need. I need a solid computer that is reliable, runs office applications well, and does every-day stuff without issue. On all these counts, I'm satisfied.
Summary: The motherboard on this computer failed in less than 3 weeks. Samsung repaired it and returned it with no problem. So I thought everything would be fine. I bought the same computer refurbished at the same time from Woot.com. The keyboard failed 11 days outside of the 90 day warranty. When I contacted Samsung they said I had to pay for all repairs. I mailed it to them almost 2 months ago and they still haven't received the part to fix it.
Summary: I'm not much of a computer person. I know wish I would have purchased the touch screen option. It is still taking some getting use to, in regards to the navigation. The graphics are nice, it runs well. I must admit I need to read my manual so that I can make sure to take advantage of all the neat features offered.
