Review Packard Bell EasyNote TK85-JN-105GE Notebook

Notebookcheck
4 September 2012
  • Summary: Two year old hardware! Even though Intel is about to release the third generation Ivy Bridge Core i3 processors, Packard Bell has released a laptop packing Arrandale parts from a couple of generations back. The laptop comes with the more modern GT 610M from Nvidia but we will see if its purchase is worthwhile in this review.
  • Pros: Convenient large buttons, No power reduction in battery mode, Good running duration values when surfing the web, Full version of Photoshop Elements, The good runtimes for a product in this price range and the very useful input devices.
  • Cons: No ExpressCard 34/54, No USB 3.0 or eSATA, Poor viewing angles, CPU throttling at full load, High temperatures, Slow hard disk drive, A better screen and the fast USB 3.0 standard that is available on almost all the latest models available today.
