Review MSI Wind U115 Hybrid Luxury Netbook

21 July 2009
  • Conclusion: The MSI Wind notebook cordially takes a different path and brings a welcome change into the netbook monotony with its Hybrid alternative. Concentrated less on an innovative design and more on the inner values.
  • Pros: Good case quality, Good display, ideal for outdoor missions, WLAN draft-n, Extremely long runtimes, Quiet system noise, Low heat development, Complete configuration, except for UMTS, The very low power consumption in SSD mode, the good outdoor display and the very quiet working volume.
  • Cons: Strongly flapping display lid, depending on the working area, Adverse positioned USB ports, Small SSD memory, Partially small keys, Display hinges with a better grip and a SSD with more capacity.

MSI Wind U115 Hybrid

18 June 2009
  • Summary: Full marks to MSI for trying to do something different with the MSI Wind U115 Hybrid, but, despite the excellent battery life, we're not convinced there's quite enough on offer to justify the high price tag
  • Pros: Great battery life; good screen; impressive keyboard.
  • Cons: Expensive; tired-looking design.

In our battery tests the MSI Wind U115 lasted longer than any other netbook we've reviewed

Good Gear Guide.au
22 July 2009
  • Conclusion: For travellers — or anyone who wants to work for long periods of time away from a power outlet — the MSI Wind U115 is perfect. Its battery life is the longest we've seen in an Intel Atom-based netbook, lasting well over five hours.
  • Pros: Excellent battery life, SSD and conventional hard drive, 802.11n wireless networking
  • Cons: Poor balance, some keys are too small, touchpad buttons are not well defined

MSI Wind U115 Hybrid notebook

Pocket Lint
29 May 2009
  • Pros: Both an SSD and HDD based netbook, 10-inch screen, good keyboard
  • Cons: Loses power saving settings easily, not a unique looking device: too close to the HP netbook for comfort, price

MSI Wind U115 Hybrid

6 March 2009
  • Summary: The Wind is still one of the better 10-inch laptops in the mix, although due to its substandard trackpad and high price, we'd suggest the HP Mini 2140 or Asus Eee PC 1000HE would be a better choice.
  • Pros: Excellent keyboard, More efficient Atom processor, Good screen size, Relatively quiet, Hybrid storage offers the best of both worlds, No useless trial software
  • Cons: USB Ethernet implementation can be confusing, Sentelic touch pad falls short of other offerings

MSI Wind U115 Hybrid

21 December 2010
  • Conclusion: MSI Wind U115 Hybrid korzysta z nowego procesora Intela Atom Z530, który cechuje się niskim poborem prądu (współczynnik TDP - 2 W) i niezbyt dużą wydajnością. Pomimo tego że oferuje szybszą magistralę FSB 533 MHz niż wolniejsze modele Atom Z510 i Z520 (FSB 400 MHz) to i tak do zaawansowanych zadań...
  • Pros: Długi czas pracy na baterii, Jakość wykonania
  • Cons: Niska wydajność

MSI Wind U115 - Test 10 Zoll Netbook mit SSD-Festplatte

30 March 2010
  • Summary: Solid State Drives gelten als schnell und sparsam.

Test: MSI Wind U115-Z53168XP (Netbook)

CHIP Online
14 March 2010
  • Cons: Lahmer Chipsatz, Hoher Preis
