Summary: I have used this laptop since 11/11 and had been satisfied with the graphics quality and speed. The problem with MSI laptops appear to be tech support or customer service, there isn't any! I learned this the hard way the other day when, upon attempting to close the laptop lid, I heard a pop, and the left hinge buckled, causing the left lower screen plastic to come apart at the seam.
Summary: This is a gaming laptop expected for parts to go in and be upgraded by the consumer, When I first opened this laptop expecting to upgrade to 16gb and install my SSD hard drive into the system I am greeted by the warranty void if removed sticker on the back of the laptop. This would be the first time in 10 years that I have been working in the computer industry that I have seen a warranty sticker on a system not allowing access to memory or hard drive upgrade areas.
Avoid - Defective RAM in both the initial and replacement units.

Summary: I was and remain quite impressed with both the outward design and the specifications of this laptop. The screen is superb. The keyboard is a gamer's dream. The backlit keyboard is excellent for use in darker areas. There are a lot of pluses to this machine, but none of them outweigh the minuses. I initially bought this to play games. I received my first unit and was able to play for a few days. I monitored the temperatures and they seemed fine.
Summary: This is more of a review concerning MSIs business practices rather then on the PC itself. Laptop was received quickly from Beach Audio. I went to install SWTOR and it failed on the first DVD. 5 minutes later I had a Blue Screen crash. The laptop has since crashed so many times I lost count. I emailed MSI and left numerous voice-mails and finally received a reply. Seems this laptop has a bad MB and get this!
