Summary: Windows 8 qualms aside, the computer is very nice. Driver updating was a PITA, but that can be attributed to Windows. I don't recommend using the provided driver disc from MSI, so go online to find your necessary drivers.
Summary: Well worth the money. I bought this in early 2013 and still haven't had any real issues with it. I am deducting one star, because the webcam doesn't work and has no way to fix it. Never worked from the time I got it. Plays games great though.
Summary: 4 stars. Everything about is great including the price. However a major problem occurred and the seller would not respond to any of my 3 emails and 2 telephone calls. I managed to find a workaround and eventually the problem just disappeared, albeit a year later.
Summary: Great specs at a high price but not bad for a laptop. The keyboard is very cheap, from Steel Series and will not register key presses that are not firmly pressed in the center of the key. If you press a key down at a corner, it won't register, which makes it hard to type fast or even a decent speed.
Like a supercharged Mustang. Powerful, but whines.

Summary: Powerful. If you need a single line description of this machine, it's 'powerful.' Never mind it doesn't have a SSD lodged in one of it's bays, and forget that it doesn't have a full compliment of 24 gigabytes of RAM. It doesn't "need" it.
Summary: Decent laptop has may cool features like the manual fan override button and back lights. The computer can run almost any game however the writing speed to the disk is quite slow at times and at times the computer blue screens. Also the built in webcam stopped working after 2 weeks in.
Summary: Great high-end gaming laptop! It feels very solid, and the keyboard isn't too bad for a laptop keyboard. Runs all of my games on highest graphic settings. Doesn't seem to have any overheating issues. The webcam is turned off by default unless you use a keyboard command to turn it on.
Summary: Ive had mine for almost a year. its works fairly well even though windows 8 isn't very good for gaming. be sure to goto msi's website and download the patches and fix's for the overclock because it will stop working, and be sure to download s-bar as well itsa great work around to avoid using the...
Summary: I looked a long time before I chose the MSI GT70 20C-059US. It had the 16gb RAM memory, 3gb video RAM, 17" screen size and 1080 HD clarity I was looking for while still being portable. I like the look and feel of this machine even with the learning curve of Windows 8.1...
