Summary: Had the computer less than a year and here are the issues: Backlit keyboard went out don't know if its a windows thing but doubt it. CD drive went out about 8 months ago. I bought the computer in Feb 2013. power button went out, and not just the little stick fell off , but something to do with the motherboard. My suggestion: BUY A WARRANTY! Luckily, I bought a three year warranty.

Summary: Had mine almost a year now, its physically heavy but its also built like a tank. Its FAST, its RELIABLE, its good enough to use as a desk top if you wanted. Just grinds through my software packages, especially the more intensive photographic based stuff. I suppose it you are a gamer you'd be mighty happy with it.
Summary: I bought this laptop in December 2013 and paid $1,500 for it. Out of the box it came with some of the keyboard lights broken. After about 8 months I started having issues with overheating while playing games. The fan started coming on full blast for a minute or so then going back to normal. It would fire up again after about 10 minutes and the cycle would repeat. 11 months after purchasing it began to completely shut down due to overheating.

Summary: This machine had such a great specification, but the experience over the past year has been horrible, mostly due to MSI's complete lack of support for Windows 8.1. The automated 8.1 update actually broke several hardware systems including webcam (works sporadically), DVD (works sporadically), and the Windows Store (doesn't work at all - never loads). nVidia / Intel graphics subsystem was entirely broken until 3 nVidia updates later.
