Great gaming laptop, but it was heavier than expected

Kaven Zheng, Amazon
16 September 2014
  • Summary: The computer looks powerful, although it was heavier and thicker than I thought. Probably because I am comparing it vs. the Republic of Gamers that I had previously.

Overall best value and design for a laptop gaming system!

Jjetmec, Amazon
15 July 2014
  • Summary: This laptop performs as advertised, and Im very happy I purchased. I do not beleive that there is a better value for a laptop that is a dedicated gaming machine. Of course their are faster, more capable systems, with many more thrills, more memory, faster graphics but you will pay a premium for that and it puts the system way of of most people's budget. And keep in mind you can always upgrade this system in many ways such as additional drives. memory, etc.

Great "at home" laptop.

Rob, Amazon
24 June 2014
  • Summary: This is a desktop replacement. Don't get that confused. It is big. It is heavy. It has a tiny trackpad. It is excellent. Gaming is fantastic, I definitely recommend this for anyone who isn't planning on carrying it around.

A solid work-horse

Charles W. Reace Jr. "Noggin's best friend", Amazon
14 June 2014
  • Summary: I wanted a notebook that could do a decent job at web development, including running Linux virtual machines. I have yet to notice any stress on its CPU or memory. The only two issues I have are that it's pretty bulky and heavy as far as modern notebook PCs go, but that's probably to be expected for the horsepower you're getting, along with a BluRay drive; plus the screen has one bad pixel, which is such a minor thing that I never seriously considered going through the...

Great computer, workhorse-only one issue

Prissy Patriot "Prissy Patriot", Amazon
2 May 2014
  • Summary: I bought this because I needed it for work and my Toshiba i.5 kept getting too hot, even with my cooling pad. This cools great, but I have ONE problem...all the pop ups it was programmed with! MSI, why? I paid twice as much for a computer that has pop ups included! Not acceptable. I downloaded my Office programs and Sophos, that I can buy through my college. But the pop ups are why I give this computer a 4 instead of 5 stars. This needs to change.

Overall Good

Denholm Scrimshaw, Amazon
31 January 2014
  • Summary: Very fast, can keep up with almost anything. Boot up is even more swift than I imagined. The fan is pretty loud, even if you're just running a small game or something, but it's not a huge deal. The back of the monitor shows finger prints and smudges to no end, I wish it was made from a different material.

6 January 2014
  • Summary: It's a fantastic laptop, but my old i7 920 and my 670 gtx get more fps in dota 2, which shouldn't be the case at all.

had a rocky start out of the box. it kept freezing and crashing.

andy, Amazon
10 December 2013
  • Summary: ok... i like this laptop... or maybe i should just say i like having a i7 paired with a gtx 770m. i wasn't so sure about this laptop at first, my first choice was the clevo151sm, but black Friday/cyber Monday offered me a better deal with this MSI GT60. the only thing was it came to me defective. there was something apparently wrong with the drivers, it would freeze and crash after start up and sometime the keys and mouse wouldn't work.
