Summary: I wouldn't buy anything from this company. Their follow-up service is almost non-existent, were it not for rudeness. I bought an MSI router brand new and the thing stopped working after 2 months. They refused to help me find a way to update the firmware. Based in Taiwan, I guess they don't care what happens after they've gotten your money. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
Summary: I've had this machine for three weeks now. Its been a test in patience but its been a failed test. If you like frequent crashes and a game rig that won't play games than this is the rig for you. I'm typing this review on the machine itself after spending an hour trying to get it to reboot after the latest crash! Do not buy this machine! It is junk.
Summary: Hard drive began to fail upon two days of owning the product. MSI said to send it in so that it may be replaced . I specifically asked if the new one would be preloaded with the factory settings and the customer service rep ensured me that it would be. I mail it in and 20 days later receive a new one. It has not been preloaded and the new customer support person says that the previous person was wrong and shouldn't have told me that it would be preloaded.
Summary: Wifi card started to fail after less than a week. Final stopped working almost completely. Contacted MSI and after having me waste time installing drivers to no avail, told me I had to ship the computer back to MSI at MY EXPENSE. They would replace with RECERTIFIED PARTS, i.e. used parts. This is for a brand new computer. Totally unacceptable.
Summary: After the 4th one, I gave up and bought a Toshiba. Two had dead/stuck pixels on the screens that couldn't be fixed, and two had bad graphics cards. I was without a computer for the entire semester, and I'm out so much money on shipping. Amazon says they'll reimburse shipping cost, but when I pay $72 for shipping and insurance (per their instructions), and they 'reimburse' me $15, I don't think that counts as reimbursement. What a complete waste of money and time.
