Summary: Out of the box, the laptop booted fairly quickly to the setup menu, which was disrupted by a power failure. After this, it won't boot at all, and even the screen doesn't do anything. I opened the HDD bay cover only to find out that the specs on this seller's page are misleading, considering it has 4GB RAM less than was described.

Summary: Purchased two expensive gaming laptops from MSI via Amazon last summer. Battery life was extremely poor from the beginning but I lived with it. Now batteries (both) are 100% dead. MSI basically has told me not their problem since it's over a year old and to just buy new batteries. That's what you call great customer support.
Summary: This is my first time buying a gaming laptop, so I spent a few weeks researching before settling on the MSI GE60 Apache Pro-003. With great anticipation, I started up the computer and to my disappointment the screen flickered horribly to the point I couldn't even complete the initial Windows set up. The kicker was I had to spend $43 for insurance to ship back to Amazon and they only credited me for $10.
Summary: The product was terrible. The vents on this machine are a piece of crap they allow the computer to reach a very uncomfortable temperature and is a big turn off. My laptop came preinstalled with malware and the internet refused to work. I was extremely annoyed and returned it within the first week of use. The gaming however was very nice with the little use I had out of the machine.
Summary: Nvidia graphics card not included. Windows 8 copy incredibly buggy had to lose that. Has got the i7 and the 750GB SATA hard drive. Shop around is my advice you can get the same model for less money elsewhere. Check MSi website for their approved vendors. Not happy with seller and too late to return it. You have to fix it to start with to get a good working order machine.
Summary: Pros 1. Decent performance Cons 1. Surprisingly shoddy workmanship in chassis - construction of the drive (felt flimsy), touchpad (felt flimsy), overall chassis - did not feel sturdy 2. Died within 11 days of receipt. No power, unable to turn on.
Summary: This computer seemed great but just died and we haven't been able to revive it yet. It is only two months old. We have not tried to contact the company yet but hopefully we will be able to get this fixed.
Summary: I do not recommend this laptop and the seller, especially, is extremely difficult to work with. When did you buy a $1200 laptop from a reputable manufacturer with no return policy? Try Best Buy, Apple Store, Walmart, Newegg, etc. and they all offer full refund and 15 to 30 days return policy. If you have $250 to lose to see this product for yourself, then order it. It is a very heavy laptop, poor touchpad operation, and a slow responding keyboard.
Summary: It would not boot up... I got this error message saying "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I don't know a lot about computers. I think it has to do something with hardwares like its HDD or Motherboard. MSI Technicians couldn't explain what would be the reasonable cause... Literally, NOTHING worked. Recovery function even failed, so did everything they suggested me to do.
Summary: The products are quality with some great thought into the design & parts. I would say overall the performance is 4 outta 5 stars. MSI does not offer replacement keyboards on their "Steelseries" version laptops nor does Steelseries. You have to send it in for "service" which has a 2 week turnaround. There are no aftermarket replacement keyboards either. Do not buy. I have officially boycotted all MSI products because of this.
