Summary: I would recommend it for gaming laptop in <$1000 range. Pros - Solid entry level gaming laptop with decent screen and keyboard. Robust build and does not feel flimsy. Cons - Touchpad clicker is awkward. No backlit keyboard. Does not support 5Ghz wifi. Windows 8.1.
Decent gaming laptop. None of the unnecessary fancy features

Summary: I use this laptop for my gaming while on the road. This is not my main gaming machine. Here's the thing. This isn't a top of the line laptop with all the latest features. This is a workhorse laptop that is the cheapest laptop (that i could find) that has a dedicated graphics card. I bought it to play world of warcraft on and while it doesn't keep up with my desktop it plays all of my games just fine. Perfect product for what i was looking for.
Excerpt: I use this for games, I was just looking for something portable and good enough to run (not on highest quality) some MMOs and games like Civilization. It also is solid enough to do some video editing on for work. This does the job. I was never worried about display size, I usually hook it up to a bigger screen at home or on my office desk with an HDMI. Would buy again. Only thing I don't love is Windows 8, but you get what you get.
Summary: I really love almost everything about this computer straight out of the box. One thing I would mention is the disc drive. It is very flimsy/unsturdy when it pops open and I do worry that it is easily broken. Overall it is quite the machine, the very best that I came across with these specs and sleek look. Added: After using it for a couple of weeks I am still very happy with my purchase.
