Summary: Horrible, absolutely HORRIBLE!!! That's how I would describe my experience associated with my recent Lenovo X61 Tablet purchase. Don't buy one! I've had it almost 2 weeks and it's malfunctioned right out of the box. Three different service managers at Lenovo have refused to provide any SW de-bug support the pre-installed software, including Vista Business OEM, unless I pay for their "Lenovo Live" service.
Summary: The positive reviews may be from Lenovo fans, or people who haven't experienced better laptops. This is a heavy, very slow PC (vista or not), the screen is horrendous. Lenovo drivers are a disaster, I also had to completely remove the Intel turbo cache due to constant blue screens. The pros are good build quality and nice keyboard feel. I would never buy this again and I cannot recommend it.
Summary: Though I will admit it was partially my fault, I meant to order the lenovo x61 t which flips into a tablet. When I ordered it the netbook was not only disappointing because I couldn't use it for what I wanted but upon turning it on it would not start, it turns out it was sent to me without any operating system either. So now I cannot use it to draw, but even worse I cannot use it at all, and I've asked around and very few people can fix it, and not for cheap.
Summary: The item was dispatched by very poor service. I had been waiting in my house for the delivery for two whole days but failed to receive any signal from the postman. I contacted the service center on telephone to ask the telephone of the postman but was told that it was unavailable. Finally I had to take a taxi to the dispatch center to collect the item myself. It cost me a lot of money and a lot of time.
Excerpt: had nothing but trouble with my Thinkpad, and have a very low opinion of the machine and of Lenovo's customer support. This was bought for me by my boss and cost a lot of money for what you get. I have personally bought much cheaper laptops that work a LOT better than this one. It gets incredibly hot, the wireless has been a constant problem - connecting and disconnecting.
