Summary: The IBM Lenovo Thinkpad X60 is actually a tablet! The one dislike I have is that I'm not in "Just use Linux"! I had downloaded Linux Mint 14 and created a bootable usb drive and installed it on my tablet!! It runs amazing and it rocks!! I would make another purchase from the seller and provide him with an excellent reccomendtation!!
Lenovo ThinkPad X60 - lightweight and sturdy design
8 February 2013
Summary: Manufacturer: LENOVO, Product Name: 1706M8U, Version: ThinkPad X60 -- I like that it is not as heavy as my previous mobile computer. It also seems rather sturdy. I will have to get used to the Insert/Delete/Home/End/PgUp/PgDn keys at the top row of the keyboard. I tend to use those keys often and top row is not a very intuitive or comfortable place for me. The hardware seems very well-suited for GNU/Linux operating system.
Summary: I purchased this for an older laptop. The previous user had lost the original pen. We upgraded the laptop to Windows8 and I was thrilled to see that the stylus would work with it. The new owner (a widow who is also a school teacher) is so excited to have a table with Win8.
Thinkpad X60 :Quality piece of engineering, features, and detail
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The Thinkpad X60 Tablet is my latest laptop purchase, and will probably be the latest for still a good while longer. I have owned Toshiba Porteges and Dell Latitudes in the past. This Thinkpad surpasses them all. True to what Thinkpads are known for, this laptop is very solidly built, made with quality parts. Firstly, the screen has a resolution of 1600 x 1440, over 12 inches of regular aspect (4:3) dimensions.
Excerpt: This was my first portable laptop and frankly moving from a 8lb beast to this 3-4lb treasure was a godsend. I took this along with me to all my classes and combine with other books, this was very managable. First of, we all know IBM Thinkpad are not known for their flashy good looks. However, I received plenty of compliments for its size and portablity which again I must stressed is priceless.
