A good one for work

  • Excerpt: I do love this laptop. It was a huge step up from my previous one. It''''s powerful enough performance-wise to serve as a desktop stand-in, however it'''' is not heavy so I can carry it where i need. As an it student I''''ve noticed a good speed gain when running code on this machine compared to the last one. There are a few minor grievances I have: the laptop is only tuned to maximize battery life on Windows, . I can only get about 6 hours of battery life.
  • Pros: "Wireless card", Weight
  • Cons: "Security Features", Battery, "Video card"

A decent machine, but nothing more

  • Excerpt: I have been using this laptop for about 6 months now, although it was pre-owned before I started with it. Build quality IBM thinkpads have had a reputation for excellent build quality. There were some doubts as to whether this would continue after Lenovo took over the brand. However, this laptop demonstrates that the same rugged, sturdy design is still being used. There have not been any hardware issues with this device, despite it now being some years old.

This is an attractive, reliable computer. However it lacks some features of better models.

  • Excerpt: Positives: The computer is quite reliable and does not freeze much. This computer is attractive in style being all black, which currently seems much more modern than silver finishes. It is relatively lightweight and compact. Operationally it is quick to load and process information although as you open more windows and are processing more things it obviously goes quicker. Battery life is not bad - I average about 2.5 hours and it is nearly three years old.
  • Pros: Reliability
