Hate to post negativity but can't say I recommend this

Summary: The computer has not functioned properly a single time since I bought it. The computer will freeze up after about 10 minutes of usage and is very slow, as though it is 5 years old and suffers from lots of malware. Except it's new and malware free. Lenovo has been very difficult with the warranty, and required me to jump through all kinds of hoops to get a replacement. First they sent a new hard drive and software to reinstall Windows.
Summary: I know there have been mixed reviews on the X240, especially from long time Lenovo ThinkPad owners. I was looking for a powerful laptop that I can hook up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse while at home, but be small enough to easily travel with and decided on this one. One of the major issues people seem to have is with the track-pad. I don't use track-pad buttons very often, preferring to double tap the pad.
Summary: The trackpad/touchpad on this machine is so poorly, horribly implemented that it completely fouls the whole experience. Apparently Lenovo has attempted to copy the Apple trackpad, but without knowing how to (either that, or they are simply too big to care). The buttons have been removed from the trackpad, and a touch works the same as a click.
Summary: after two weeks, the wireless hardware can't work. And the trash is more than any computers, i can clean up 2 or 3 GB trash everyday. I will come back to china to ask some engineer to fix its problems. worst product.
Summary: Pros: -Traditional thinkpad look. I love the black squared look of thinkpads. :) -Light. For girls, it's really convenient to carry with. -Long-battery hours. X240 has a build-in battery and a external battery! Can run appx. for 8 hours. -keyboard is comfortable for typing. Cons: -Don't really like the touch pad. I like the touchpad used with x1 or x230 with the button you can click.
Summary: It came with windows already installed but it had so many problems, it shut down unexpectedly all the time, it got stuck when opening browsers, very bad version of windows. If i lived in the US probably would take it back to fix. Other than that it came on time and it's new and very cute.
Summary: I believe this is a great laptop. Unfortunately, I encountered a problem within two days. My IT guy said to return because the laptop was trying to fix a hard drive error. I am reordering the same laptop but with a i7 processor and SSD drive.
Summary: Light and thin. Perfect for students or businessmen in the city who have to carry their laptops all the time. Performance is also very good. How many ultrabooks have both VGA and mini display ports?
