Summary: Perfect machine for road warriors, living in the space between a full sized laptop and a netbook. Size, weight, screen resolution, CPU and memory are all spot on. Purchased an Intel G2 SSD and installed separately, and it's beyond fast. Big drawback is poor quality in construction.
Pros: Comfortable Keyboard, Fast, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Quiet
Summary: I am truly impressed by this latest offering from Lenovo on the Think Pad Line. With a comfortable keyboard, readable screen size and high end performance, who thought that I could carry all this on the road with less than 3 pounds. The ThinkPad 201S is a quality device with all the technological advancements we have come to expect available. For those wishing to extend battery life, I would recommend the i3 or i5 processor.
Summary: Bought this laptop due to its portability and funciton. Have owned for 1 week. Did a ton of research and found Lenovo to be amongst the top in business machines. Had serious difficulty in setting up the fingertip reader for sign-on. Gave up. [...
Summary: Great screen resolution, build quality, size, and speed. Everything your last notebook was supposed to have but didn't deliver on. Not without faults (the screen isn't gloss bright and the battery doesn't last as long as the claim), but it's almost perfect.
Summary: This is a good allround business machine, with some special features like the high resolution screen and Core i7 CPU that still separates it from most other machines. The first thing I did was an Ubuntu install (I used daily build of lucid, 10.04) and so far, I haven't found anything that has needed tweaking.
Summary: This Laptop weighs no more than a 10 inch netbook. It is small light and powerful using the i7 but a slower clock speed on the IGP-vs-the X201. The downside for me and the ONLY reason i returned this was the 32 Bit system that was installed. The descriotion does not tell you this and the store clerk said it was 64. It wasn't until i got it home that i realized this. It makes no sense to buy a 32 Bit system when most 32 bit programs can run on 64 bit but not the opposite.
Pros: Fast, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Powerful
