Summary: I got the refurbished version and it came in like a brand new one. At first it took me a few hours to figure out all the drivers and system thing and then it has been performing great! The main reason I got this laptop is for certain school works and prospectively presentations.(I'm a first year graduate student) X131e contains all the ports especially the VGA port which a lot of ultrabook nowadays don't have it anymore.

Summary: My father go this for my daughter who is in university about 5 hours away. She called today and said that it went to a white screen - called Lenovo tech support and in a few minutes had a depot box coming to repair it. Other than this she loves it - I like the way it feels it is almost a rugged case. It is made for the youngins as it is small.
Summary: I got the Lenovo after I dropped my Acer One Aspire and thought it was hopelessly messed up. I tried downloading the programs that I had on the Aspire. Each time the Lenovo got tangled up in something and would not recover from the download. I finally sent it back. Kudos to the Amazon return system. It was almost seamless. BTW, I discovered that the Acer was not cooked after all so I am back using it.
Summary: I wanted a light, compact laptop for daily travel, and the Thinkpad X131e fits the bill perfectly. It weighs a bit more than a regular-sized tablet with a keyboard attached, but because it's a single unit, only one charge is necessary. For my purposes, which are surfing the web, emailing, Microsoft Office, and the occasional movie, the X131e works fluidly.
Summary: love the laptop. using it for writing. got it for about $300 on woot but... 7 weeks in and today all I have is a white screen. I have since read that this is not uncommon! spent hours online trying to find out where to get it fixed. will see what happens tomorrows when I can try to get a hold of someone since it IS still under warranty. I am hoping they will just replace it. 7 weeks old with a probably motherboard issue. I don't want it fixed, I want it replaced.
Summary: We give these little guys to our Salesmen on the road. they do the job and the price is fair as well. The one I got had some weird flickering on the bottom left corner of the screen. Called Lenovo's great customer service and they sent me a box with a pre-paid ship back label to send this back. I got it back after 1 week and everything is fine. We have 30+ of these little guys on the road and they are all good. highly recommend!
Summary: The only thing keeping me from buying this laptop is the incorrect description of the processor. The ThinkPad X131e 33722-VU has an AMD processor. See page 110 of: [...] This model has the features I want, including the AMD E2-1800 CPU, an a/b/g/n WLAN card and Windows 7 Pro64. I'll feel comfortable about making the purchase when this advertised information is made correct.
