Terrible laptop

N/A, Newegg
27 April 2014
  • Summary: stay away from
  • Pros: Compact and light.
  • Cons: This has to be the worst computer/laptop I have ever bought. When you power it on it goes to a web page that would not respond to any commands. Then when you got on the internet it would send you to some gamming site instead of where you had tried to go to. Pure virus infected from China right out of the box!

  • Excerpt: I use this machine for writing, web development, and audio editing. It works very well for these purposes. While it is not a light machine, it is compact enough and very durable. The battery life is good, it has an excellent keyboard, and I really appreciate the trackpoint. Negatives are the...

Chrome book breaks

Derpydash123, Amazon
18 March 2014
  • Summary: We've used these chrome books at my school since the beginning of the school year. I heard these were strong durable laptops that would be great for us to use, that's not really how it happened. Many of my friends has had problems from the keyboard popping out or the screen going completely black. I myself had part of the touch pad pop out and this is from just every day non harmful use. I would not recommend these laptops.

Lenovo ThinkPad

Bernard William Milloy, Amazon
2 January 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this item, after reading the highly rated reviews. What a disappointment. I got this for my wife to replace the one she had been using (Different brand). On the 27th we left for Las Vegas to visit my sister. I paid $14.00 a day for internet. This laptop kept shutting down, and would not stay on for more than five minutes. I wasted $42.00 for the three days we were there. I called support yesterday.

Durable and well built, a little heavy

Mikey S., Amazon
14 December 2013
  • Summary: Excellent, durable small laptop. A bit on the heavy side for the size but the hinges on this thing feel like a bank vault in comparison to the more expensive laptop of a different brand I have sitting next to this X131e on the workbench. The keyboard is the best in the 11.6" form factor, with the only odd thing being a dedicated print screen key in between the right ctrl and alt - and yet no pause/break key?

NOT THE BEST OPTION FOR THE MONEY

Eric, Amazon
23 November 2013
  • Summary: Our school purchased a laptop cart load of these (30). The mouse pad is awkward and not very responsive, the little red directional thing is not practical for anything, we've had 4 cases of keys coming off, (one from myself while trying to unfreeze the keyboard and moving my hand around my ring kind of caught on a corner) and on occasion a machine will not connect to the network, while all the other laptops in the room will (and yes, I made sure the wireless antenna was...

A user, ECost
9 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought this computer pretty much knowing what it can and can’t do. I use my Windows desktop to do graphic design and other projects that, for now at least, wouldn’t work on a Chromebook, but I wanted a laptop for traveling. I wasn’t crazy about Wi...
