Powerhouse, but screen is lacking in quality

Kristopher Daia, Amazon
29 July 2014
  • Summary: Screen quality is terrible. Fonts are fuzzy, and is not comfortable to look at for long periods of time. On the other hand, this thing is a beast. I installed a SSD in it and it starts in less than 15 seconds. I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with this, and it runs with no problems. I had to give it 4 stars though because of the screen. Also may one to get an extended battery for this to get 10+ hours out of it.

I love my workhorse!

Beth B, Amazon
12 July 2014
  • Summary: Yes, this computer is heavy. Not something you want to actually utilize as a portable computer on a daily basis. But it's built very sturdy, and the hardware has ran seamlessly for the 6 months I've owned it. I bought this computer for work/grad school-- I process a lot of large image files from my microscope, and analyze movie files that are compiled from them. So, I needed RAM and a good processor.

Good upgrade

Josh-Daniel S. Davis "xaminmo", Amazon
29 June 2014
  • Summary: I've been using this as a replacement for my T60p. I got the model with high end graphics, i7, etc. It works great, but it's a little heavy. Also, with CPU and GPU upgrades, the power brick is a new, giant, 2 pound monster. Old bricks will plug in, but the system will only pull 20W from the old bricks. Anyway, this thing has 2 DIMM sockets under the keyboard, and 2 under the base unit. There's an msata socket that you can boot from.

A solid, well-performing machine

k2lu, Amazon
1 March 2014
  • Summary: My background: I'm a software engineer who needs a laptop for doing serious work for long hours. Ordered by importance, my shopping criteria are ergonomics, productivity and power. PROS: * FHD 1920x1080 screen in 15" with DPI set to 100% is the perfect viewing experience for me. I find that the same resolution and DPI in a 14" screen is uncomfortable for my eyes. * Matte screen. This was a non-negotiable necessity. I don't understand the love for reflective screens.

Very good laptop for developers

Oktay Arslan, Amazon
13 August 2013
  • Summary: This is a good machine and kind of long term investment. I was in between buying a Lenovo or Dell (M4500 series), then decided to go with Lenovo. I think, this is great deal for the given memory upgrade. You have to pay more for the same specification if you buy the laptop from Lenovo online website. I installed Linux Mint (Maya) and made it dual boot along with Windows. It works great with a few minor issues.

So Far So Good!

Samuel Stone "Sam", Amazon
2 August 2013
  • Summary: Having used ThinkPad (mostly T series and some X series) for more than a decade, I was a little disappointed with my last Thinkpad T500, which was my first one after Lenovo took over. It recently develop overheating problem and I couldn't solve it other than having a fan pointing at it. I know it's time to upgrade to a new laptop, but in the past, I've never upgraded a ThinkPad because it broke; I upgraded because they became outdated for running new software.

A good Linux machine with some flaws

Martin Pärtel, Amazon
20 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this for demanding software development under Linux and occasional gaming in Windows. It replaced my previous T60. It serves that purpose well, but certain small flaws prevent me from giving it 5 stars. The matte high-resolution screen is pleasant to look at and at the higher backlight settings is quite usable in sunlight. The vertical viewing angles are awful, as is to be expected from a TN panel.

Näppäomistö, tehokkuus

Camilla779, Verkkokauppa
22 May 2013
  • Summary: Näppäimistö on mahtavan mukava ja "käyttäjäystävällinen", laite tehokas mutta ei niin "supertehokas" kuin mainostettiin. Hieman paianava.

  • Excerpt: Купил в штатах на сайте леново. QM3720, FHD, K1000, 4gb, 320gb, Win prof, 9 cell bettery.
