Summary: On the face of it I was happy but after some days of operation things were a little unpleasant. The orientation lock button does not work, by any chance if the laptop slips into sleep mode the orientation moves into tablet mode even when you are in laptop mode. if you override by pressing ctrl+alt & arrow keys, it still remains disturbed, when any application is invoked, the orientation breaks again, the process out is again to rotate the screen PHYSICALLY then switch...
The computer broke down the first week i tried to use it!

Summary: It over heats after an hour of being turned on. The seller wouldn't return it so now I have to use the manufacturor warrenty. What a pain after spending more than 700 bucks no one wants to stand behind there product!!!!!! What a shame!
Summary: Wireless networking was inoperative, sd card driver inoperative, and wired networking only partially operative. Lenovo (and Microsoft support web pages) indicated that the kernel was changed by Amazon. consequently there were several incompatible hardware : software device driver inconsistencies. Downloading new device drivers from Lenovo did not help, but the device driver and hardware matched. The device was sent to Lenovo for repair.
Summary: It is nice but I hope its defective I am sending it back and hope to receive a new one that works the cursor travles to the right of screen on its own gets stuck there and makes the whole screen shake back and fourth I hope its a flaw with that one unit and the new one does not do this at all cause if it does not I would rate a 5
Summary: I'll keep this review focused on the hardware... Windows 8 is a whole other issue. The gyro sensor used to adjust the screen orientation is terrible and is not reliable. It does't rotate most of the time when you want it to, and other times it spontaneously rotates when it is sitting there in laptop mode. You will need to know the Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow shortcut to get it to rotate back!! Annoying! Screen never rotates the screen orientation correctly in "Tent" mode. Lame.
Summary: I've now had this unit 2 weeks and am going to return. If you're always near an a/c outlet and have your power cord on-hand, then you'll enjoy this unit. Other than that, after doing much research, this is a common problem. After searching Lenovo forums I ran across a many months old heated thread about the extremely low battery life every other user is getting as well. To the point they discussed a class action lawsuit toward the end.
Summary: I'd been looking for a good, convertable laptop for a while. I was leaning towards the Dell Ultrabook, but when I saw the price of this one, I went for it. It's light, but it feels really sturdy (owning up to its ThinkPad name). The rotating screen is a nice touch, but I find myself using it less and less in tablet mode. I've owned two iPads, a Kindle Fire, and various e-readers, and I still haven't completely accepted tablet use.
