Summary: Device was shipped on time and packaged well. No cracks or damage. Very pleased that this device allowed me to use Microsoft. The main advantage is that, unlike a PC, this thinkpad now fits in my purse.
First windows tablet, started off weird but it's better now
5 September 2013
Summary: When I first received the tablet I was full of joy and excitement. The thought of a windows tablet was exciting, especially one that is in essence, a 32 bit PC! First off the unit was extremely sluggish and slow at responding. Doing a complete restart (turning it back into factory defaults) fixed that issue a bit and the response to my touch improved, as well as loading webpages. After further playing around I had issues downloading windows updates.
Summary: While this is not the tablet that comes with a pen input, it is nonetheless a great Windows 8 Pro tablet with a great price. It has easily handled by daily computing needs and supplements my desktop. While I wish the app store was more robust, the touch interface with the windows desktop is fairly intuitive. I would recommend for anyone looking for a solid windows tablet and does not feel the need to have the pen input.
Summary: I purchased this tablet a few days before several weeks of travel. I basically purchased this one since I had also switched to a Windows 8 phone and felt pretty comfortable with that interface. I also wanted a tablet that I could run the full versions of MS Office and some other Windows software. I did purchase a cover with a bluetooth keyboard which combined with the pen makes it even better.
Summary: I read some reviews that made me a little nervous, however I am REALLY glad I decided to by this tablet. This tablet does EVERTHING my laptop does. I have had no issues installing software, including a automotive diagnostic program, and quick books, works great! I saw some reviews regarding the wireless strength. I walked all over my 5 acre yard, and was able to be on skype with my son.
Summary: I bought this to be my walk around device while I'm at work or commuting. Leaving the larger laptop in my office. It's not a powerful computer, but it's totally competent running office applications like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and so on. The battery life is fantastic, longer than my Suface RT. I have a few grips, but nothing that cause regret. 1) the stylus is too small for any real not taking.
