Excerpt: The Lenovo T61 laptop computer is an excellent choice for a "work" computer. The screen is sturdy...not flimsy like other laptops that I've used. I've had this computer for a little over 2 years now & have had absolutely no problems with it. Granted, I really don't use the full potential of the computer as it is just a work computer (i.e.
Excerpt: My lenovo specs: Intel Core 2 duo 3 GB Ram I am a designer who has to use a lot of programs that can be very heavy on the ram. I have used 3d programs along with adobe suite and it runs smoothly. There are however many useless functions which causes the laptop to run and startup slowly. atleast they can be removed. the security fingerprint works well although i have also removed that function.
Excerpt: As with any Lenovo laptop, the T61p was top of the line when it came out. Now it is a little less impressive as its performance pales in comparison with recent models. I have had the same trouble with it that most people do.... the motherboard broke after a few years.. But a few years isn't a bad timeframe for a laptop to last. If you are looking to buy a new laptop, I would not recommend this one anymore. When it came out it was an excellent piece.
Summary: Great reliability, tough, fast, workhorse, but on my third set of NEW hinges (they last about 3-6 months max before they start to become wobbly - bad design, every one of these I've played with has the same crappy hinge problem). I like being able to swap out the memory, hard drive, keyboard easily by yourself. Since Lenovo took these over from IBM, the quality has been going down, but this one is still nicely made (again, except the damn hinges!
Summary: If I had the choice I wouldn't have looked twice at this laptop as it is a bit of an ugly beast and I'm not all that familiar with the Lenovo brand. As it was, this is the standard laptop given out at work and I have used it for just over a year. The laptop is plain looking but is certainly robust. Everything about its looks suggests this is for people who choose functionality over style.
Pros: Robust, good performance
Cons: Overpriced, lack of USB slots & those it has are poorly placed
Summary: Ein rechenstarkes Gerät mit richtiger Graphikkarte.
