Lenovo T61

CNET
12 September 2014
  • Summary: Lenovo's 14-inch ThinkPad T61 shaves a few millimeters off the company's more mainstream R-series laptops, but still boasts the same, solid ThinkPad DNA along with IT-friendly features by way of Intel's new Centrino Pro platform.
  • Pros: Internal roll cage protects LCD; 802.11n Wi-Fi for faster wireless throughput; very small A/C adaptor adds little to overall travel weight; Intel's Active Management Technology provides remote support.
  • Cons: New Centrino technology doesn't offer outsize performance gains.

Lenovo ThinkPad T61 – прочный и мощный бизнес-ноутбук

Gigamark
19 March 2013

Lenovo T61

Tech2
27 November 2009
  • Excerpt: A common trend these days in the laptop market is to design great-looking products that fall apart easily. Quite a few manufacturers can be held guilty on this front. Laptops tend to have some problem or the other, ranging from faulty hinges to fading screens and finishes that can get easily scratched. One manufacturer who takes care to avoid these issues is Lenovo.

Hardware in Review
6 May 2008
  • Conclusion: The ThinkPad T61 is basically as good as it gets when it comes to laptop computers. I like it so much I wish I could keep it; I would buy one myself, and certainly will when the time comes. Now that the price has come down to an affordable level, there is no excuse for not buying a ThinkPad T series laptop computer for reliable business and personal mobile computing. Despite the superiority of the ThinkPad T61, there is still a little room for improvement.

Lenovo ThinkPad T61p Review

Digitaltrends
11 September 2007
  • Conclusion: The T61p is a very capable and powerful notebook that should be on any cubicle jockey or road warrior’s wish list. It packs all the latest and greatest technology into a relatively thin, yet sturdy, chassis that feels incredibly solid and reeks of high-quality craftsmanship. We take issue with some of the ThinkVantage tools, and wish it had a 7200rpm hard drive, however, but these are minor annoyances.
  • Pros: Will out-perform most desktops; super high-res display; decent battery life
  • Cons: Largely useless software; 5400rpm hard drive

Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Review

LAPTOP Magazine
28 June 2007
  • Summary: We have one other complaint. The 8X multiformat DVD burner in our test unit made a whiny whir as it spun up, and the way it continually cycled faster and slower during DVD playback was annoying. But given the T61's excellent performance and portability, we can forgive this shortcoming. The ThinkPad T61 is as ideal a business portable as you are likely to find.
