Summary: This is fraud and I demand a refund or replacement.
Pros: It's fullscreen and it comes with Windows XP. That counts for a lot.
Cons: It was advertised as coming with a Radeon X1300, but in reality the graphics chip is an Intel 945GM Express. As someone who got this SPECIFICALLY for the discrete graphics card, I am EXTREMELY disappointed.
Cons: After 6 months, the fan has begun to make incredibly loud noise: grinding, moaning, & whining. It's distracting, & certainly too distracting to watch a movie on. Unfortunately, my warranty was for only 3 months - so looks like I'm stuck with it.
Summary: Upgraded to SSD and Windows 7 shortly after purchase. Runs great under Windows 7. Drivers for Windows 7 available on Lenovo's support page. I purchased 2 15" T60s from newegg which were refurbished by another company. They were considerably nicer.
Pros: Includes all that was claimed. 2GB RAM, DVD drive, battery and charger. Screen is bright and only slightly scratched.
Cons: HD died after less than one month. One of the keys is sticky. HD missing two screws that hold it in the caddy. Customer support from the refurbishing company virtually non-existent. No one answers the phone. No one answers e-mails.
Summary: Frankly, if you cannot afford anything better at the moment, wait and save up a few more bucks to buy something better than this. It will be worth it.
Pros: It works okay, without any major issues when it comes down to it.perfect for a younger kid.
Cons: Where do I start. First is the issue (that I've seen with other owners of this laptop) is that sometimes the keyboard will STOP working when you power up the laptop. The cursor won't move nor will the keyboard. then you have to close the lid, wait until it goes to sleep mode then try again. And a...
Summary: Refurbs and extended warranties go hand in hand. I think there should be a limit on the number of returns for a computer. There should be a lemon law or something where if you have to have something sent back more than twice you should always get your money back.
Pros: Decent Laptop at a great price even for a refurb...or so I thought
Cons: So there's an intermittent to permanent problem that occurs. The keyboard just stops working. I RMA'd the unit once after the keyboard just quit responding thinking "OK, I got a bad refurb." So then I have the second unit and after 6 weeks, what do you know...the same thing started happening. I t...
Summary: Buy the extended warranty right away. Try to put it through it's paces as soon as you get it. Don't wait for a problem to show up several weeks or a month into your purchase period. You might be stuck.
Pros: Pristine case, nice keyboard, solid feel. Typical of what I would expect from a Thinkpad.
Cons: Unfortunately, I noted a flicker on the screen now and then. On one occasion, the screen just turned white. The battery was not discharged. I plugged in the computer to wall power, and then it came back on. Since it was well within the purchase date I contacted customer service. They told me that...
