Lenovo ThinkPad T60p Review

17 April 2007
  • Conclusion: The Lenovo T60p is an excellent laptop with tons of positive features. It’s fast, relatively battery-efficient and has a gorgeous 15.4″ widescreen LCD with an impressive 1680×1050 screen res. The Hard drive and RAM are upgradeable post-purchase and the built-in DVD burner covers all the popular CD and DVD formats. What can’t be upgraded or enhanced internally can generally be added as a peripheral. The T60p is a very complete package and it is very reliable .
  • Pros: Fast processor; Vista capable; good battery life; biometric security
  • Cons: A little heavy; thick LCD bezel; 802.11n is not standard; no FireWire

Hardware in Review
4 October 2006
  • Conclusion: The ThinkPad T60p is basically as good as it gets when it comes to laptop computers. I like it so much I wish I could keep it. So even considering the cost, would I buy one? After all, my usual recommendation is to spend as little as possible on a laptop computer; when it dies after a year and a half, you won't feel so bad about throwing it out and buying a brand new one that is faster and more efficient for the same price.

Lenovo's ThinkPad T60 laptop PC

21 July 2006
  • Summary: Like I said at the outset, I can see why Intel chose this laptop as a showcase for its Centrino Duo platform. The ThinkPad T60 clearly outperformed our older Centrino/Pentium M representative in general application performance and in 3D graphics. In cases where software was really taking advantage of multiple CPU cores, either via multitasking or explicit parallelism, the performance gap between the Core Duo-based system and the Pentium M was even larger.
