Summary: Disclosure: I did not purchase this for myself but it was given to me as a work laptop. The laptop itself is decent. Good battery life. Nice power and performance. Some minor memory issues but that wouldn't be the real reason why I consistently want to through this heap into the river.
Summary: Fast and lightweight. The integrated trackpad is AWFUL and unlike any other I've used. It is not intuitive to the touch, and not for left handed users or people who want to get work done quickly. NO CD/DVD drive at all. Poor user design.
Summary: I purchased one of these directly from a Lenovo Rep as part of a demo deal. Let me just say, that the hardware appears to be top notch, but as usual, the IBM / Intel drivers and firmware, are utterly garbage.
Summary: I am also a longtime Thinkpad and Lenovo fan, but this laptop is unfortunately the poster child for Lenovo's new design philosophy, which abandons the legacy of well-thought-out, bulletproof laptops for "lighter and thinner at all costs.
Summary: This laptop has a novel, single surface track pad. I often right click when I want to left click. Or left click when I want to right click. And attempting to drag and drop, or select a string of text, is fraught with frequent failures.
Defective Trackpad and Poor Display, but it could be fixed under warranty...

Summary: The product I received had the problems you hear about: poor display performance (LG) and LOUD clickpad. But besides those major issues, I really liked the laptop. Thus, I have sent the laptop under warranty to Lenovo to fix the issues.
Not for professional use yet... If you can wait to upgrade your Thinkpad, I would wait...

Summary: Just as a point of explanation, I purchased this machine for professional use. I am a typical road warrior and have been for decades and I work in a tech field... So this review is really written for those who might be considering purchasing this machine for professional use.
