Summary: I have used Thinkpads for two decades. This one keeps up the reputation. My only complaint is that I don't like the mouse key system. Where there previously had been three buttons (left, center, right), Lenovo has placed a single pad that tries to be sensitive to tapping it on the left, center or right. However, for me, I have to exagerate the left and right taps in order to be recognized as right and left taps.
Summary: I was using T410 for many years.. and wanted to continue with Thinkpad. Here is my verdict. Keyboard: 4.0 Design: 4.0 Touchpad: 3.0 Performance : 4.0 Overall: 4.0; Cons: Sometimes I here sound from fan area, Not impressed with the material compared to T410.
Summary: Purchased this laptop to replace my ageing Toshiba Satellite Pro. Very happy with most aspects, but a couple of annoyances. First the good stuff. This is very obviously a professionals machine. It's sturdy and very solid with a great keyboard that offers very clear tactile feedback. The keys don't feel cramped and it's possible to type quickly and accurately. The screen is excellent. It's very bright and clear and displays colours clearly. Battery life is excellent.
