Summary: Have had 3 of these go out with Fan Error in past 2 years at work. Update: Found out if you blow into the vents on side it removes the dust that is stopping the fan and causing the Fan Error. That is a quick solution but means you probably need to clean the dust out of the laptop.
The Lenovo PC notebook's keyboard stopped working quickly.

Excerpt: The PC notebook worked almost as well as any other computer, and I'll compare it to a PC desktop because I'm more of a fan of those. Whereas it worked fine for a little while, it wasn't very long until the keyboard completely went out. I had to plug a whole new keyboard into it, which basically defeats the purpose of a portable laptop. Very soon after the screen began glitch, and it would altogether fade out into white our black.
Summary: I have been using Lenovo Thinkpads for the past 14 years and have always been super happy. This is also a good machine but has one major drawback - "improved" bumpy touchpad.... It is rather horrible - I don't know what they've been thinking.... I purchased my Thinkpad online, so didn't have a chance to test it in advance - and now a few months into it I am super disappointed.
BE WARNED....Nice product, but the company/service sucks!

Summary: Bought one online from a famous NYC electronics retailer and got a really good deal. I am a Mac guy, but I need a PC for work stuff and this Lenovo T410 Thinkpad replaced a 2004 model Dell that could not be upgraded to the new standards. Out of the box I was impressed by the construction, however, NO CD's come with the product; not even the WIN 7 CD. There is not much in the way of documentation either, just set-up flyer and safety manual.
