Summary: Overall experiences with purchase was not good, and the only reason I purchased again was because of the price. I now know it is better to pay more for a superior product. Today I tried to call Newegg to see what could be done, and the operator said it was over an hour wait. I tried the online chat, and had no success. Newegg is normally really good about these things, but today they dropped the ball.
Pros: The computer is priced really well, and this is the 4th laptop I have bought. My customers love these computers. I gave two stars because the price and the specifications of the computer.
Cons: Computer was dirty when I recieved it in the mail. The laptop was actually running when I opened up the packaging. I don't know what IBM/Lenovo are thinking, but they need to train their employees better. The keyboard was not functional as well, I had to order another keyboard. My customer was understanding, but when you order a factory refurbished computer direct from the factory, you would expect the machine to be functional. The other laptops I ordered had various ...
Summary: This computer was shipped to me without a wireless driver. I prepared the product to be shipped back and they failed to pick it up for two days. Finally I simply returned it to walmart. Therefore, I'm unsure of the products performance since I never made it past poor customer service.
Summary: This Computer shuts down without reason all the time and now that I want to return the computer, there is no return address and there is no phone number to call. The computer is useless and I have no recourse. DO NOT BUY !
Summary: I really like Lenovo products overall and the T410 is a laptop I dig. I own a T60 and T61 but I've also owned other IBM laptops in the past. Its i5 processor and 4gb RAM work well for what I do although it does seem to run hot at times and if I were doing Photoshop with multiple layers I would look for a machine with 8gb RAM. The thing I like about the Thinkpad is users can swap out their CD/DVD drive for a second hard drive.
Summary: A refurbished computer can be a good option when you need an upgrade and you're on a limited budget. This notebook is a great replacement for one of our older laptops which had limited resources and was running on the obsolete WindowsXP OS.
Summary: Out of the box you get the feeling this is crap with the barest of capability. Also the keyboard keys began to fall out in the first day's use. Then why recommend? First you need to run windows update with maybe 200 or so files for install and a dozen restarts. That will fix stuff that doesn't work like connection to monitor(s) from laptop or docking station, access designated sound input/output, etc.
