Excerpt: The Lenovo T400 laptop is clearly built to last. While it may not be as top-notch as the old IBM iterations of the thinkpad, the Lenovo brand does a good enough job to still be best in the market. Personally, I have dropped the t400, thrown it in my bag, and generally abused it. So far, so good. The screen came with the option for matte, which I jumped at. The keyboard is nice, and I enjoy using the little red mouse pointer.
Excerpt: I use the Lenovo T400 for work every day. It definitely looks like a work laptop. Not something I would have gone to Best Buy and bought based on looks. But it's a ThinkPad and it has a reputation for being tough for a reason. This is a sturdy laptop that can take a beating and perform. Sure, it doesn't look fancy and I wouldn't expect compliments on it, but it does what it should and it costs less than other laptops in its performance range.
Excerpt: I think T400s is the best modem of Lenovo thinkpad - That is, more portable than T400, and suitable display size, weight, and good touch feel. T400s is much more lighter than T400, and the cooling system of CPU is even better. I can hardly heard any noises from cpu fan, and feel no heat when typing with the keyboard. I have used many classic models before, for example T23, T42, T61, T400.
Excerpt: Every one who is using this laptop are very happy compare to the old laptops. It has god no issues and everyone is using it happily. Laptop with Black Color would be my preference. I don’t have any idea like in which all COLOR this laptop is available but Black is the best color. It has very smooth surface and it makes feel great when we touch or carry it. This is all for Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Laptop. Thanks!!
Excerpt: I am use to seeing the trackpad at once, and I had to look a little closer to realize that it was exactly in the same place that I need it to be. As I work with documents all day, I appreciated the multi-touch screen as it allowed me to work faster and with more fingers. I also liked that the battery life was about four hours which allowed me to stay in the coffee shop longer. If I had the budget, I would be very tempted to buy this for my personal use.
Summary: This is a very powerful, fast, light notebook with a great (bright) display for your basic office applications. Battery life is excellent and the processor is super fast. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the 2gigs of RAM pre-installed (3 or 4 would have been nice for this price point, quite honestly with the speedy processor you don't notice it but still)and there is no built in camera for skype.
Summary: The ThinkPad T400s is an excellent addition to the ThinkPad line. It's extremely light for a 14" laptop, and the build quality is excellent. I've read complaints online about the screen, and they are unfounded; my screen is excellent with good color saturation for a matte screen. ThinkPads have the BEST keyboards on the market. If you type for a living, do yourself a favor and get a ThinkPad.

Lenovo Thinkpad T400s 2808: Laptop Great For Students
5 January 2010
Summary: Fully recommended for any students in year 12 and above. This is a speedy and fairly lightweight laptop with a decent processing speed and is more than enough for typing essays, playing video games, watching DVDs, listenings to music and surfing the internet. There are, however, a couple of down sides: *The finger scanner seems to malfunction after a certain ammount of time of disuse.
Pros: Easy to use, secure, multi purpose
Cons: Small memory, noisy DVD drive, low battery life.
Summary: Starting back with a t60 yaears ago I have just acquired my 4th in the Lenovo/IBM T series, a T400 i5. Yes it is expensive,no it is not very sexy but IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and WORKS and WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With a range of docking stations, port replicators, and especially the port adaptor this is not a purchase but an investment that keeps giving great returns. I HAVE NEVER HAD A HARDWARE RELATED PROBLEM WITH A T series in almost 10 years.
