Good notebook. With only 4GB of RAM, it runs pretty good.

Summary: I went from an HP 8460P Elitebook notebook to this Lenovo Helix 36984MU touch notebook. I'm currently running Windows 8.1 on it, and I am very surprise how fast runs with just only 4GB of RAM. Also having a SSD makes it boot up and run sooooo much faster than the old SATA drives.
Summary: I waited several months to review my Helix and although I haven't used it extensively I feel I've used it enough to be able to review it. I purchased it based on the numerous Amazon reviews from users with more advanced computer usage experience than I have that purchased it and use it for more...
Summary: but thin. OK, well, thinner than a lot of Lenovo products. I'm glad to see Lenovo improving on this point. I don't have an issue with holding down the keyboard when I open it. I'm just glad it stays shut without clasps, magnets, clips, springs, hooks, and doesn't weigh twice as much as a lappy than...
Summary: I've got to admit I'm kind of a sucker for these combo units. My first serious tablet (not a combo unit) was the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. The Logitech bluetooth keyboard let me write easily enough, but set up wasn't super convenient (you undo the keyboard, turn it on, enable Bluetooth, make...
Summary: The computer itself is very good. Very fast processor, plenty of RAM, very snappy. The touch screen works very well. And the battery life is great, for a Windows 8 device, probably the best of any of the Win8 devices on the market right now, with the exception of the Surface 2 Pro with Power Cover.
Summary: The ThinkPad Helix is an amazing device with a great concept. It feels durable and rugged, it has the speed of a normal laptop (except for graphics...), and the portability of a tablet or ultra-book. Overall, I would recommend it, but it does have some flaws.
Summary: I purchased the Lenovo Helix just as soon as it came out during the summer direct from Lenovo so I've had it for about 5 months. The machine starts up fast with Windows 8. Battery life is okay, considering that this a full blown laptop with an i7 chip.
Summary: As a software developer (Qt) I'm fairly satisfied with this machine so far. I was looking for a compact machine that I can use on public transportation, to replace my S10-3t, which has been more useful than I thought over the last couple of years.
