Summary: This is a nice laptop with irritating windows 7 or 8 and irritating lenovo software. Don't bother with the finger-print reader as it can be hard to turn off. Otherwise a good machine for the price.
Summary: Used the Win 7 default version as was for a friend who has ME and was unsure of going from XP to Win 8 in one hit. She has made the transfer well, is pleased to still have the cd/dvd drive and generally pleased with the display. She remarked on the improvement of display and weight over her Dell of 2005. The Win 8 discs supplied await her readiness. Did experience difficulty in making a recovery disk - but that was the only blip.
Summary: Nice clear screen. pleased with it , though the fingerprint recognition does not always work........I have to scan it several times occasionally, other times it works just fine. I wish I could find out how to disable this bit . I use a wireless mouse now, as I dont quite like the touch of the finger plate on the keyboard.
Summary: Overall a good purchase. This is my first Lenovo, but decided to try this brand after having mixed experiences with laptops. Previous laptops have been let down by durability issues (mainly hinges) so we will see how the Lenovo fares over time. I chose a Lenovo because they were IBM and have done alot of R&D into hinge design so I am hoping this laptop will last at least 3 or 4 years, and hopefully more if I look after it.
