Summary: This is unacceptable. This laptop runs similarly to one I purchased in 2008, after a year and a half consistent use. This laptop is mainly used for work (looking at research databases), email and facebook, in addition to 1 video game - there shouldn't be any reason for this terrible performance
Pros: It still works to some degree.
Cons: This is a ridiculously slow machine. I've only had it for 3 months, but it frequently struggles to load multiple tabs in chrome. This machine has substantial trouble in playing video games too, despite the fact that they were released in 2005. Frequently, the battery just decides not to charge for some reason, despite being completely plugged in, so it just dies on me if I'm not paying attention. The keyboard is pretty terrible too, the 'L' key came off and refuses to...
Summary: I purchased this machine as it was recommended by a computer expert, who uses his Lenovo (a big workstation model) every day. My machine was a replacement for an ancient Dell, which had done sterling service. However on powering up the new Lenovo and not running anything, the Task Manager showed that between 60 and 80% of the CPU capacity was being constantly used - without running any application/program (should be almost zero).
Summary: Do not order this laptop under any circumstances - the laptop arrived without any issues but within 2 days was broken. Contacted Lenovo about Warranty repair - we are now 4 weeks on and they just keep saying we don't have the part ands it's on order - they are refusing to replace it with a new laptop and just make us wait with little or no information.
