Not taking returns, make sure you get the right version, etc

Summary: I did not have a good experience. This was supposed to be a Xmas present for my wife. I was not sure how I ended up with this product, Its not what I wanted. The seller is not taking returns and has been not much help. I guess I am stuck with it.
Summary: The computing part is great, however, the touch pad is absolutely HORRIBLE! I had been using it for a while and it was fine, but hated the tap feature. After adjusting some settings to get it not to click on everything, now I can't get it to stop scrolling and selecting text to save my life. I've played with every setting possible to get it to stop and it just won't, short of disabling the whole touch pad.
Summary: I had heard good things about the old pre-Lenovo buyout Thinkpads, so I thought I'd give this one a shot. It feels cheaply made. The trackpad on it is a nuisance. It's hyper-sensitive and reads almost any touch as a click, which means I am inadvertently clicking on ads all the time. My copy of Windows has been extremely buggy, failing to install updates repeatedly. Not worth it.
Summary: On paper this looks good, and the price is right. However, there are a number of very annoying things about this laptop that have made me swear to never buy Lenovo again. First, the trackpad is horrible. It jumps and fails to register sometimes. This is not limited to my particular laptop, as I have tried several at a store to make sure I did not get a lemon. Build quality is not great.
Summary: I am very disappointed about the clarity of the screen. It is as if my glasses were not focusing and the icons are blurred. The computer makes noises as if something inside is loose. My old Samsung computer is far superior and buying this computer has been a big mistake.
Summary: I bought this for my daughter, thinking that we were buying a quality product. After all, it's made by IBM! What a disappointment. The product looks and feels cheap, the disc drive failed to work and it wasn't possible to run Windows 8 as was indicated in the product info at time of purchase. It's been returned and I've bought an Acer Aspire/E from PC World. Better product at less money!
