Summary: Being a self-taught techie I have used, abused and destroyed many top shelf quality products. I currently work in very unforgiving and hostile environments, with heat, dirt, dust, moisture and more mosquitos than I know what to do with. Over the years I have had the top of the line laptops such as Asus Pro, HP Elitebook, Panasonic Toughbook and the infamous Getac. All were great laptops, most were milspec but eventually they all had issues.
Summary: I purchased this laptop a few months ago and haven't had any problems since. I also upgraded the ram from 4gb to 8gb for another $20 which I would suggest doing. Only drawbacks is it doesn't have a blue-ray player to go with the HDMI output! You can actually buy the laptop cheaper from the seller's actual website FYI, unless you are earning cash-back rewards on your amazon purchases!
Summary: This laptop is a gem. It provides enough memory and hard disk space to execute just about any task you can think of in todays digital age. only area I feel is lacking is are the function key display appear harder to read than most. Good buy, you'll be be very happy with this laptop!!
Summary: I read several reviews of the ThinkPad E520, and decided to go for it. The 15" screen is a nice size w/o the batt drain that seems to plague larger screen models. The i5 processor was also a good choice. I just needed to increase speed for photo/video projects and didn't want to spend $1000. This is my first ever laptop, and the only things I can say I wish it had were a backlit keyboard and LED's for Cap Lock and Num Lock indicators.
Summary: This computer was delivered sooner than quoted. I did a lot of research and this Lenovo was the best bang for the buck. I bought an extra 4GB of RAM with the computer that was cheap and easy to install. Boots up quick. Great for work, music, internet, pictures /video, etc. Battery life seems reasonable between 3-5 hours of working, not including stand-by time. I usuall leave it on all day and charge at night.
Summary: Owned for 1 day. Many prob useful options for TouchPad somewhat complex to set up. Point is great also along with keyboard. Weird use of Fn button? Small delete key. Additional raised bumps on certain keys would be a plus (like the delete key). More later.
Summary: For the price its really good. Its quick, reliable, does what I want it to do which is surfing, keeping photo's on and playing the odd game here and there. Its now 5 years old and has been fine except for the charger which has been replaced twice but they're cheap enough so I don't mind that. I've dropped mine a couple or three times with no adverse effect so it must be well built. I'm happy enough thanks.
