Summary: Ordered for a client with a timeline. What a bad experience. Now the fun starts of RMA.
Pros: Nice size and weight
Cons: Dead hard drive on arrival, removed drive from Lenovo to see if my PC would recognize it, doesn't even show in BIOS. Drive MFG date 17Sept13 meaning either this laptop sat on a shelf for 7 1/2 months or someone stuck this dead drive in it. Laptop boots fine with my new WD 500 GB black.
Summary: The solid state drive is not 128 it 99 Samsung drive. the os take up 28 of that so you only have 63 to work with. This product is kind of heavy. pro: it made out of stronger case then other kind of Lenovo laptop. The plug look better. con: The website lie about the size of solid state drive by 28 gb. it heavy. It didn't come with the basic game and trying to access command prompt is a nightmare or window 8 window 8 itself.
Summary: It's solid, sturdy and powerful. Keyboard is well put together, the chassis allows one to easily make repairs and upgrades. While the memory and hard drive could be better the threaded quad-core is the reason to buy this laptop. If you work with cpu intensive applications this will shame anything in the atom class, if that is a "class". If you want really great performance you'll need to upgrade the memory and replace the hard drive with an ssd.
Summary: I ALSO can not understand why the received laptop's cpu is I3, hard drive is 500GB and memory is 4GB. That is QUITE different from the ad on amazon. IT IS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE AS I HAD SCHEDULED AN OFFICE INSTALL OF NEW SOFTWARE & PAID FOR THE UPGRADE OF SHIPPING FOR IT TO BE HERE IN TIME.
Summary: I can not understand why the received laptop's cpu is I3, hard drive is 500GB and memory is 4GB. That is quite different from the ad on amazon. I was very sad because the laptop was a Christmas gift for my daughter. But, now I have to return it and order other new one. That is very terrible.
