(Almost) All Good - but the display is not crisp enough on mine

Lewis A Parks, Amazon

  • Summary: I have used Lenovo Think Pads for years. They are built very solid, and this one is not an exception from that standpoint. I like the cursor control peg, a primary reason I bought this Lenovo. Also, it has a lot of other features that wanted, eg HDMI. The only thing that is disappointing is that the display is not as crisp as the past Lenovo's I have had.

Solid Small Business Laptop

Amazon Customer, Amazon
1 July 2013
  • Summary: The 13.3" screen laptop weighing less than 5 lbs. are the ideal dimensions for a business laptop. A few years ago, there were a number of business and consumer laptops with these dimensions selling for $500-700. However, with Apple's success with the MacBook Pros, other PC manufacturers started copying Apple with higher priced ultrabooks. Now, it is practically impossible to find a 13.3" notebook that costs less than $1,000.

  • Summary: yes there is a learning curve. To much Lenovo Software bundled. Otherwise a nice machine, the mouse-pad and pointer are a bit awkward if you are not used to it.

  • Summary: This is a good business laptop. I am a Field Engineer with a lot of stops throughout my day. A tablet just isn't enough. This laptop handles itself well with good battery life. It will burns dvd's in reasonable time. It is just the right size to carry everywhere you have to go. Fits well in a Timbuktu media commuter bag. Easy to carry, nice screen size. Solid performance from OS and hardware. Good features, and reliable performance.

Recommended but few points to note

  • Summary: First of all, I know what you are thinking, 32k for 2nd gen i3? whereas you can get 3rd gen i5 in this budget. But before proceeding, take a look at the key points (why I purchased it). PROS: 1. Its a thinkpad, so no compromise on the hardware quality, finishing. 2. 4.5-5 HOURS full HD playback and you can juice out 6 HOURS if you are using applications with limited resource usage!!
