Summary: I was advised by someone else to purchase Lenovo Thinkpad laptops and I will never buy one again. If you decide to purchase one, you better get the longest extended warranty available or better yet, choose a different laptop maker.
Cons: I had a hard drive failure and it was replaced under warranty. No problem, right? Well after having it repaired and re-installing everything, Windows 7 would not activate. Lenovo does not provide a product key, they claim it is in the Bios. After getting the runaround from several incompetent Len...
Summary: I went through all of the troubleshooting. Like swapping out two batches of memory cards and using the one that came with the computer in the second bay. It does not recognize the rest of the memory and the software is 64bit which means it has the capability. I am just sick.
Pros: It was delivered.
Cons: The stickers for what it comes with were stuck on the bottom, he back up discs were the WRONG ones. The 1. bay to expand the memory was broken and ANTONLINE will not take it back went through their RMA request 3 times and was never called back or sent anything!!! I ended up calling Lenovo directl...
Summary: After this I will probably never by anything from Lenovo or Antonline ever again...wait..no probably...never ever again.
Pros: It turns on.
Cons: I called again...cannot speak to a manager or supervisor. I have to wait 24 hours again for an email that will never come. (yes I checked my spam/junk email folders). Thy claim that they got my RMA request but that I didnt respond to an email they sent me. Clever way to not take ownership of a de...
Summary: I've bought about 8 new computers for personal use over last 13 years and use computers daily for work for more than 15 years. I have never used a computer this slow.
Pros: Can't find any.
Cons: Too slow. Takes minutes to boot up, shut down, or even open a program. Something is not correct. Perhaps a combination of too much software pre-installed and an inadequate amount of memory. Need to do a lot of troubleshooting or memory upgrade or return if possible.
Summary: I love Lenovo products in general. I suspect this one has some design or manufacturing flaw of some sort? Fact is there are no brands of electronics out there that are immune to trouble at some time or another.
Pros: I really like the design of this 14" laptop. Good looking and nice size. It is a fast PC. I was pulling for it. I really was!
Cons: It failed right out of the box pretty much immediately. I am a IT tech business owner. Bought this laptop to resell to a good customer. On the first day it would not install 63 Windows Critical Updates. Tried 3 times. After 3rd try it shut itself off to black screen. Rebooted it and later in the ...
Summary: After having success with Lenovo's lower end business laptops in the past and recently having problems with Dell systems, I came back to Lenovo. Bad choice.
Pros: Looks fine, decent build quality for the price.
Cons: Purchased 3 for small business. All three will not install windows updates. One has all sorts of BSOD's after one month of usage. Filled with all kinds of bloatware. Intel Bluetooth software crashes constantly and needed to be removed. Now have to rely on IBM support to get a fix or replacement. ...
