Solid machine but finicky graphics card

Summary: I have been pleased with this laptop. It stays relatively cool when in use and lasts quite a while on the battery supplied (I get about 4+ hours when word processing and browsing the web). I have a slightly different model. I have an E420 1141-A51. This machine is not for gaming. I have had problems with the video card drivers. Games and some video processes have caused the system to freeze or blue screen.
Excerpt: It is my first laptop. I was so excited when I got it, and it works really well for me. To date, I haven't had major issues, having installed Fedora on it. The hard drive is meagre but sufficient. The CPU is slightly lacking, but it is value-for-money enough. I boosted the RAM up to 8GB so I can...
Summary: This machine was purchased for a saleperson to use in the office and in the field to create proposals, do email and run product demonstrations, mostly for video surveillance software. In that capacity, it works quite well. It is responsive and well-made, with a comfortable keyboard and functional trackpad. There is nothing fancy here. Just good solid performance and build-quality at a reasonable price. Good laptop.
Summary: Hefty in weight area - a bit too much for my arthritic hands. Took me a while to get used to the size after using HP notebook for several yrs. Also took a while to get used to the screen changes and the tool icon. Overall happy with the unit and getting more proficient with it every day! Certainly a lot more bells and whistles than the old bare-bones notebook...
Summary: I bought this laptop as a Christmas present for my daughter on the advice of one of her computer literate friends. It has been satisfactory, although she did have an initial challenge in getting the mouse to cooperate with the computer. Thanks only to her perseverence and computer skills was she successful in fixing the problem. I would have had to send it back!
Great machine but the screen WAS too poor for me so I replaced it!!

Summary: It's a sad mistake on the part of Lenovo to make this wonderful fast laptop with a dim screen. It's not a terrible screen,.. It's clear and whatever.. But sitting next to my other laptops it looks blurry and dark. UPDATE!!! I was able to purchase the Glossy replacement screen for this Laptop on Amazon for a great low price and it was easy to change out.. What a miracle!! The Matte screen that came with it was too dark and was actually really "terrible".
A nice up-to-date replacement to IBM's old T43 ThinkPad...

Summary: Great little laptop that does most things well. It's not going to be a good gaming laptop due to the relatively underpowered integrated Intel 3D graphics, somewhat slow HDD, and small screen, but for general web surfing, streaming video playback, "light" gaming (i.e. Flash games), non-intensive photo editing ( Photoshop Elements ), and drawing in Inkscape (if you can stand the small screen), it's more than adequate.
Outstanding value; almost everything I need for non-gaming...

Summary: This review is specifically for an E420 1141-A24 purchased from 0FF1CE DEP0T. It's worth mentioning three things up front: (1) My configuration is nearly identical to the base specs listed here, except that my processor is a slightly slower i5 2410M (2) I purchased mine as an advertised sale of 530 plus taxes.
