Summary: This laptop have given me problems from day 1. First of all, its really slow. Yes it is quad core but its still very slow, I couldn't even watch an entire youtube video with freezing. Sometimes it just won't turn on, the fan is also very loud. There are tiny cross shaped pixels around the screen and the touchscreen don't work after 20 days. The wifi adapter stops every so often.
Great piece of hardware the worse support on earth

Summary: Great piece of hardware, the worst support on earth, at least for International Customer. I bought this laptop for my daughter, specially because the lightweight and specs, on august. On september it won't turn on, just like that, it died. I took it to our (Costa Rica's Lenovo dealer) support company and as today, almost two months later, the laptop is on their hands.
Summary: I've had this laptop for a little over a year and a half now and the only thing stopping me from dumping it for something else is the fact that I can't afford to. In the last year and a half I've had every problem I could imagine with this laptop. I've even sent it back to Lenovo 3 times for them to replace my hard drive. Here are my thoughts on this laptop: - The touchpad is great, when it works. The problem is that it rarely works as it should.
Summary: Do not buy this laptop. It is slow. It does not connect well to wifi. My room is on the other end of the house from the router and it doesn't connect. I have to walk out in the hallway to get it to work! I don't even bother trying to watch Netflix on it. The keyboard is flimsy. It doesn't have a disk drive. The battery life is probably about an hour. The list of problems goes on and on. Do not buy this laptop. Get a MacBook.
Summary: I don't know whether to blame Lenovo's dysfunctional programs and user interface or to blame Microsoft's abominable Windows 8, but the something about the combination made this unit unusable. Returned it.
Summary: I bought my Lenovo S415 Ideapad from Fry's, as my Dell died and I needed to replace it the same day. That was 9 days ago. The zoom feature has been a problem since day 1; it doesn't matter where you move the pointer - it zooms up in size. Yesterday the touchpad began to stick. Today the audio device stopped working. My first and last Lenovo - it's going back tomorrow.
Summary: It has been 5 months, tech support has been unable to successfully connect this computer to our router and has tried several times. It will connect when they do it remotely and then when the computer turns off it won't do it again. Spending time with tech support is like giving yourself a lesson on 'not english' to english translations. They have refused to pay for best buy to fix the computer and won't take the computer back.
What a let down!!! If it was possible I would give 0 Star.

Summary: I ordered this laptop thinking it would be a good buy & a good laptop, boy was I in for a big surprise. I would try to transfer my pictures to the laptop, it not let me do it, so I finally had to take it to a place & have it done. Then it took a whole afternoon & all night long, that is a big red flag, before this I would be messing around on the laptop it just go back to the desk top screen, several times, another red flag.
