Great if you value the performance and screen size above portability

Summary: I've been using this laptop for a year now mainly for work which involves drawing and programming tools and occasionally to play a game. The only thing I changed was dropping in a 500GB SSD. PROS 1.

Summary: Fast and solid feeling. Downside is a touchy mouse and a rather short battery life. There is also quite a bit of pre-loaded stuff that needs to be uninstalled (including mcaffee), though I doubt you will find any computer that doesn't suffer from this problem.
Summary: Except for AC Adapter message, Battery issues machine run fine. Which Lenovo replaces them with express shipping if you call them. I am a HP customer for 20 yrs. found Lenovos customer service better than HP.

Summary: The PC nominally met my expectation, did not experience the expected boost in performance when compared with my older Dell with i3 processor with 6GB Windows 8.1, however is a troublesome OS. After a few days I decided to revert to Windows 7, however the drivers were not available.
Summary: Issues with it from the beginning, I don't know if I have a lemon or not. NO bluray as advertised from seller, and the metal grate that covers the on/off button and speakers keeps curling up and off. Seller is not easy to deal with either.
Summary: I just received mine a little under a week ago, so the jury is still out. Three things I DON'T like about it: Glossy screen Soft keyboard Touchpad (Trackpad) The last one is the worst. It takes the portability out of having a laptop.
Summary: I searched for two weeks for what I thought would be the perfect laptop for me, but this one has disappointed me. There is a lot to like. but several really irritating things have taken the thrill of a new laptop away. What I like is the beautiful resolution. Very nice. Very nice sound too.
Summary: Bought this to replace 4 year old laptop. Was very excited to receive this laptop. Construction is of good quality as i would expect from Lenovo, and the 17" screen is beautiful. Normal tasks work like a charm, so I wanted to test its gaming performance. So i installed Steam.
Reasonably fast but bad screen with viewing angles.
10 January 2014
Summary: I like this laptop, besides my long list of complaints, if the viewing angles were better this would have gotten 4 eggs, add a blue drive, 5 eggs. If you dock this PC and buy a decent monitor, this laptop will satisfy most power users.
Pros: Decent graphics card, I was able to play Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution, and BF4 at console quality (Mid to High settings). The system is also reasonably quiet, only gets loud after about 40 minutes of gaming. The bootup is fast, the screen is large, it overalls feels snappy.
Cons: Well the screen is not that great, yes its 1080P, yes its bright, and yes the screen is big. With that said the colors are faded, the viewing angles left/right, up/down looks just about as bad as LCD monitors in 2003. My other problem with this laptop is the missing Blu Ray drive. I know there's ...
