UPDATE

Seth B., Newegg
30 November 2015
  • Summary: I recently updated to Windows 10. Got all my drivers installed and noticed that the stupid track pad click issue seems to be gone completely. It now functions like normal. I was using Word and excel and google maps and never once experienced a click event being sent after a double tap and drag...
  • Pros: See old review (they still apply)
  • Cons: UPDATE: I must say, NONE(See other thoughts)

So far so good. Everything is solid except the keyboard

Shawn, Amazon
30 September 2015
  • Summary: So far so good. Everything is solid except the keyboard. There is a little bit of "mush" in the middle keys but not enough to make it annoying. It is not quite as fast as I expected which could be do to the the hybrid vs completely solid state hard drive or the lower voltage laptop based Core I7...

Their "tech support" makes me look like the Albert Einstein of Computer Science

Thomas C. Graham, Jr., Amazon
21 September 2015
  • Summary: Purchased this POS in August 2014 after weeks and weeks of research and speaking with numerous "experts" in the field. NOTHING BUT AGGRAVATING BS CRASHES & FREEZING ISSUES! Their "tech support" makes me look like the Albert Einstein of Computer Science.

Not a reliable laptop. Waste of money

Siavash Ranjbar, Amazon
12 July 2015
  • Summary: This laptop lures you in with its great specs and relatively low price, but it was so poorly manufactured because it is littered with issues. My laptop cannot last 2 hours without being plugged in. My laptop cannot BOOT UP, without being plugged in, requiring me to keep it on sleep mode.

Unpleasant to use

Rob E., Newegg
25 June 2015
  • Summary: I intended this to be a portable development machine but problems with the touchpad, keyboard, screen glare, and short battery life means that this laptop is very unsuitable.
  • Pros: Debian install easily needing only a few extra drivers. Boots fast (with a new SSD) and everything runs fast. Runs games quite well.
  • Cons: Bad touch pad. Registers clicks very often when typing. The touchpad buttons are part of the mouse area, so you can't leave your finger resting on the touchpad buttons after a click. I haven't found out how to disable the touchpad, so simply using an external mouse does not solve these issues. Od...

The worst laptop I have ever owned.

Christopher Lee Cummins, Amazon
19 June 2015
  • Summary: I normally don't spend this much on a laptop but I figured I wanted a good one. Well, I got just the opposite. I have had a Dell, Gateway, Chromebook and Acer laptops. They were all better than this and they cost less (except the Dell).

Good for running multiple simultaneous virtual machines.

Steph, Amazon
9 June 2015
  • Summary: It's extremely fast, usually boots in about 13 seconds. I use it for running virtual machines at the same time and it usually doesn't struggle at all to run its own processes and virtual machines at the same time.

Good Computer

Timothy K., Newegg
8 June 2015
  • Summary: This is not a gaming computer. More of a high end office computer which is what I was looking for.
  • Pros: Good computer. Good graphics. Purchased it as a computer on the go. With an I7 Processor, 8 GB, and 2 GB GDDR3 dedicated graphics card it does everything I want it to do very well.
  • Cons: The only thing I did not like was the nonstandard power connector. But you can get adapters for power supplies or car chargers that you already have.
