Review Lenovo IdeaPad Z585 Notebook

Notebookcheck
8 November 2012
  • Summary: Budget all-rounder. Lenovo sends its 15-inch notebook off to the race, this time with the AMD Vision processor and dual GPU. The AMD-only combination seems quite unique, since most competitors rely either on Intel and Nvidia or Intel and AMD.
  • Pros: Easy upgrade, Performance of the hardware, Lots of storage space (HDD), Good stereo speakers, Good touchpad, The good performance of the dual GPU and the stylish case.
  • Cons: Average display, Keyboard layout slightly crammed, Mediocre battery life, More space for the keyboard and a matte display for outdoor activities.

Lenovo Ideapad Z585 review

expertreviews.co.uk
15 May 2013
  • Excerpt: The Lenovo Ideapad Z585 has the same chassis as the Z580, which we found was a seriously impressive laptop when we reviewed it last year. Unfortunately, this means that the Z585 has the same somewhat insensitive touchpad - we're not fans of its integrated buttons, either, which again seemed unresponsive at times. By contrast, the keyboard is fantastic.
