Very Slow

Marc "marc2242", Amazon
17 January 2014
  • Summary: This laptop can't handle very much. Try to run more than one thing at a time and it slows to a crawl. I know it's not the most powerful laptop and it's priced pretty low, but for 6GB of RAM I would expect it to perform better.

Dylan, Amazon
25 November 2013
  • Summary: I got my Lenovo Z580 in early 2011 and it works amazingly, I really do love it. The processor is just about perfect, as with the RAM, amount of ports, the screen, etc.... Track pad, wireless, and sleep issues

hobbes25, Amazon
28 February 2013
  • Summary: I've been using a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge for the last two years for work and love it. So I bought my wife the Ideapad z580 the other day. For the money you can't get better specs. Intel core i5 processor, 8gb Ram, 750gb hardrive were included in a $499 deal at Staples.

Poor Touchpad = Frustrating

sara-34, Amazon
29 January 2013
  • Summary: I did research before choosing a laptop, and this one seemed to have the features I was looking for: 15" or larger screen, good processor and plenty of RAM, and a brand that consistently gets good customer reviews. Positives first: The LED screen is very vibrant.

Fast Laptop - Hate the Mouse Pad

Don, Staples
4 January 2013
  • Excerpt: Received this laptop as a gift to replace a 7 year old unit. It has the new 16: 9 format making the entire unit wider but providing room for a numerical pad on the right side of the key board. The problem is the mouse pad. It comes with what Lenovo calls an intelligent touchpad.
  • Cons: Hard To Use
