Summary: While looking for a new laptop, I did a lot of research and hunting around, and this seemed absolutely ideal. Great looks, great specs, great reviews and a very reasonable price (which I notice has gone up significantly, so I was lucky). Out of the box, I was thrilled by its looks and its feel in a way, I must say, that I never am when it comes to machinery. It has a whopping 8GB RAM, 1TB harddrive, and Nvidia graphics card...oh, so much going for it.
Summary: the computer itself was very impressive and i thought i found a bargain with this pc. I thought the mousepad will not be as bad as the other reviewers were on about but god its bad! its very annoying and frustrating my old 2nd notebook by some company i've never seen has better mousepad but on the other i really got used to windows 8 and started liking it.
Summary: This looks like a great Laptop until you install the software. Once installed the Touchpad has a mind of it's own and seems to do everything other that what you expected. Contacting Lenovo Support resulted in them attempting to sell me a service contract cost from £106 up to £300 plus for a 9ne to three year contract. They stated that the Laptop had many infections and missing DLL's.
Summary: Overall, this is a reasonably good laptop, looks good, has high spec for the price and, apart from a recurring wireless network connection issue (and the awful Windows 8 which makes sense only on a touchscreen compatible device) it does what it's supposed to do most of the time - a 3 or 4 star product (depending on whether the wireless connectivity is taken into account). However, I bought the laptop on the promise of a rebate thanks to the 'Lenovo Saving' promotion.
Summary: Nice laptop but the WLAN drivers provided for Windows 8 simply don't work and the online support provided by Lenovo (other than driver downloads that don't work are are a big waste of time) is almost non-existent. The only way it seems to contact Lenovo for support it seems is by telephone during the day when most people are working, nice one Lenovo!
