Summary: Seems good (you know, as long as you ignore the Windows 8 start menu), but I've had problems with the laptop since I first got it 2 months ago. There are battery problems... which Lenovo knows about considering there is a firmware upgrade on the web site... but this did not fix my problems. My laptop won't boot unless it's plugged in. The battery is fine; I can unplug it after start-up and run on battery for a normal period.
Summary: I actually bought this laptop off newegg a couple weeks ago, it has a decent feel and a solid build for the price. Things start getting annoying when i see it has UEFI with secure boot, add in the fact that you have to unassemble the whole thing to reach the hard drive and memory for and upgrade and you can start to feel they really don't care about the customer.
Summary: I would not recommended as description on site was: only few scratches and I did pay £30 more for small scratches option but this laptop have badly damaged socket and plug what suggest quality control stuff don't know what they doing. Another issue is with battery as is showing 6h fully charge but after 2h asking for plug in charger. I was going to replace it but need it all time for daily work. And only way to do it is to buy another one and send fist one back.
Summary: I bought this laptop because I tend to ignore some negative comments from the previous reviewers. today it is my turn. First, Poor battery life, Lack of automatic update, support services not helpful, now the problem is that it can no longer charger after 4 months of use. Battery cant be used alone which force me to also plugged in.
Summary: Overall the laptop appeared good. The speed was ok and it felt well constructed. However, after 2 months an "ink blot" appeared in the lower part of the screen. It was sent off to be looked at and I was told that the screen had cracked and we had to pay £123 to replace the screen, or pay £44 to have it sent back un-repaired!
Summary: I've got this laptop as a secondary PC for work. I bought based on the reviews. The first impression when I got it out of the box, was that the laptop had a nice exterior casing. After I turned it on, I have to said that I was immediately disappointed. The performance is quite poor for a basic level laptop and Adobe Dreamweaver doesn't even work with its screen resolution.
Summary: Returning for these reasons: "Unacceptably slow - takes over 30 secs to open apps. Apps regularly claim the PC is not connected to the internet when the network icon says it is (and has maximum connectivity) and when other devices on the network have no issue." Might just be a duff one, but I'm not spending half my life returning lemons and waiting for replacements.
Summary: Computer looks good and overall worked well, with one big excpetion (and that is why we sent it back) - the WIFI connection fell out regularly. despite all attempts this could not be fixed. pity.
