Excerpt: I being a Mechanical Engineering student wanted a laptop easy on the pocket, decent specifications and high quality build along with great looks and a good badge value. In March, I decided that I need a laptop as the desktop could not suffice my mobile requirements and the hunt began with a budget ...
Summary: Overall the laptop appeared good. The speed was ok and it felt well constructed. However, after 2 months an "ink blot" appeared in the lower part of the screen. It was sent off to be looked at and I was told that the screen had cracked and we had to pay £123 to replace the screen, or pay £44 to have it sent back un-repaired!
Summary: The laptop works fine but I had some problems with the drivers for the Win 8.1. I had a problem with the screen brightness as well, suddenly the backlight went off and I could barely see what it was showing... I got it 'fixed' by adjusting the screen brightness while the laptop was booting.
Summary: Nearly as thin as a MacBook Air but MS o/s and a LOT cheaper. Advertised with Win7 but came with Win8 (I hate Win8) - but are forgiven despite many hours spent overriding all the annoying features. All done now and v.happy with this laptop. I recommend this product and the vendor.
Solid laptop for the price, some issues at the start
3 weeks ago
Summary: This is a good laptop for its price range. Like others have said, some things are less than ideal like the slightly squishy keyboard, not very responsive track pad and relatively low resolution (1366x768). Also, you can't remove the battery. None of these issues really bother me for what I want it for however there were quite a few issues to be resolved when I first took delivery of the laptop.
