  • Summary: Balanced. The IdeaPad Z500-MBYG2GE is aimed at performance hungry multimedia users in particular. With an energy-saving Quad-Core and a GeForce GT 645M, the 15-inch device offers sufficient power for most (3D) applications. We have reviewed the all-rounder and will report our findings here.
  • Pros: Balanced components, Unique power adapter design, Good bundled applications, Moderate weight, Large hard disk, Slim build, Successful design, Great performance, The case is visually pleasing.
  • Cons: Low brightness display with glare and poor viewing angles, High temperature emission under load, Few connection interfaces, No upgrade options, Non-removable battery, Outdated GPU driver, Fast Ethernet LAN only, Loud DVD burner, Unstable keyboard, A stable keyboard, a removable battery and a good non-glare panel.

Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 (59-341235) Review

thinkdigit.com
26 March 2013
  • Summary: The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 is an excellent laptop to consider if you do not want to go much beyond the Rs. 50,000 price bracket. It offers very good performance and is very well put together. It just looks and feels a lot better than most of the alternatives available for that much money. The slim profile adds to that.
  • Pros: Very good performance, Well built, Fairly solid gaming capabilities, Better than expected battery life
  • Cons: Keyboard is a little difficult to get used to
