Summary: Do Not buy this laptop ,I bought this because I thought It would be a great machine for work , I was very disappointed , It had problems out of the box , loud HDD ,many problems with the letters on the keyboard , and the battery life is nowhere near the advertised 6 hours , finally after 2 months or so it failed and doesn't start at all , 1200 $ down the drain , save your money and don't get this
Summary: This laptop was the worst: had to send back due to malfunction of one of the USB ports from the start, followed by frequent crashes leading to two factory-resets in less than a month. After spending hours and hours of reinstalling programs, I am finally giving up. I could've used it as a DVD player, but the software that came with the computer seemed to stuck at the start screen, and won't play a movie. Their foreign country service was horrible too.
Summary: Although I did not buy this on Amazon, I feel compelled to warn others. BEWARE! This is the worst computer, of any type, I have ever owned. First, it skips letters when typing with so much freqency that composing something takes twice as long due to repeated proof reading. Secondly, the cursor will jump to some random place while typing so half of a word may be found elsewhere in a text.
Summary: Just Received my Lenova Y580 Idea Pad. No Microsoft CD in delivery box. Called Lenova support and they say I didn't purchase Microsoft Office. Interesting b/c Amazon shows that I purchased it with MS Office. I'm shipping the computer back to Amazon and ordering a Dell. Not a good start with Lenova.
lenovo products arent bad when made correctly, but everything else about them is

Summary: [...] i know that this is resale, but this certainly affects you as well. i especially recommend NOT ordering from lenovo direct, even if the price is better or the specs are more up to date. if you order this item from lenovo.com, you will likely not receive anything for months. this is indicative of everything that is wrong with lenovo and why shouldnt trust their product. lenovo has a notoriously poor warranty fulfillment process.
Summary: Purchased Lenovo Y 580. It takes Lenovo almost a month to get here after 4 shipping date changes. Arrives with dead Keyboard and touchpad. On with support withing 2 hour arrival, returned to Lenovo within 24 hours. It will take them over 1 business week to credit my account after they get it back and review it. People in IT told me their Lenovos aren't working well either. Should have listened. Never again will I look at Lenovo as a quality product.
Summary: I was looking for a gaming laptop between $900-$1300, finally i saw this one, looks perfect, great price, great specs, even blu ray drive, i thought that this was the best deal out there, but sadly was not, i got this laptop, and i use it for a couple of days "normally", just for checking facebook and emails, but, after a week or so, i finally choose to install games, i tryed first with Jericho, the laptop freezes within a couple of mins, random green squares appear in...
Summary: I have had nothing but problems with this notebook. First of all the keyboard at times does not work at all even when trying to access setup or the boot menu. Secondly, the Nvidia gpu does not work display windows code 43, installing new drivers and factory reset does not fix this issue. This absolutely the worst $898 I have ever spent!!!!
