Great laptop, I recommended as long as you are OK w/ no touch screen functionality

Summary: Great laptop and very good price. The speed is impressive so are the sound and overall functionality. A pointing stick would have been appreciated, but the main disappointment is that the screen is not touch - of course that is my fault not having researched it more, but since much of my research was based on feedbacks like the one I'm writing now, and none mentioned it is not a touch screen, I am just including that in my review here.
Summary: Laptop is great. Games run great, screen looks good, speakers are actually decent, and keyboard is nice. Here are a few negatives: -Trackpad is poor, even for PC standards. My previous HP dv6t that this is replacing had a better one. -Battery life is pretty bad, but what do you expect for SLI + i7? -No multimedia keys on the keyboard. Just nitpicky for me. I was able to use a keymapper to re-map some of the F-keys. -It's heavy.

Summary: BEWARE! Lenovo is marketing to gamers that they can use their y510p laptops with dual graphics cards. However, I ordered the 2nd removable card and was told it would ship in a month. Never happened. they discontinued the part. I let them know I wanted to return the laptop but conveniently for them it is past the 30-day return period! They are still at this racket!!!
Summary: LENOVO HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WILL NOT MAKE THINGS RIGHT. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND LENOVO. BUYER BEWARE. i had to return 2 of this machines. The mouse pad was damaged and wont work properly. the second one came with a damaged wireless antenna.
Summary: The first two things any purchaser of this laptop should do are: Update the drivers (http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/75992), and (2) Turn on SLI in the Nvidia control panel which you get to by write clicking on the desktop.
Pros: - Two Nvidia cards running SLI works beautifully. I can run Saints Row 4 and Diablo 3 on max settings at a solid frame rate. I am curious as to how well it runs next gen games.
Cons: - Runs a bit hot like any gaming laptop. Get a cooling pad and this is moot.

Summary: Pros: -Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2.4 GHz Processor is wicked fast and handles all the 3D software I throw at it and i'm notorious for having 30+ Chrome windows open + 3D applications running and this does not stagger the machine at all. -whats not to like about 8 GB RAM? -Dual NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M SLI - Plays games on ultra settings even Watch Dogs (See below "Understanding SLI dual graphics cards") -1TB + 8GB SSHD is lots and lots of wonderful storage space -16-Inch Screen...
